The Camps Bay Retreat would be the perfect way for my husband and I to unwind while finally having some quality time together, alone. We’ve recently relocated P.E to start a business and spent the festive season entertaining friends and family while making our mark in terms of business.
We’ve spent most of our time back in the bay relaxing on the beach, having picnics swimming and snorkelling as well as taking long walks along the shore.

My ‘me time’ is actually a bit of ‘we time’. My husband and I are so busy, that we love spending time together, just being mindful (and like you said, present). We usually picnic, cook together, take a long luxurious bath together or play some backgammon or scrabble over a glass of vino. Really just simple things…

    Love Actually Spa Treatment.

I’m a mommy to the busiest toddler ever, a career woman and a wife. I hardly get time to just unwind. So late last year after going through some pain that left me questioning if I’m doing my family any good with just serving them and never doing anything for myself. I decided to start taking myself out on lunches -for at least an hour once in a month and I got back to reading (My best downtime, this). I use public transport in the week when traveling to work – it used to be the most dreadful experience that just had to be done. Today, I look forward to the journey – I get lost in someone else’s world – the best and most rejuvenating experience ever for me. The moment I step into our home, I am relaxed and happily back to my best moment – being mommy and lover .

Oh Wow ! What an awesome and thoughtful prize to give away to a deserving couple! My ideal form of relaxation would be some quiet time with my hubby at a Spa just enjoying nature’s surroundings. Even for a shortwhile. We have a son 3 year old son and daughter 10months who is exclusively breastfeeding. So we find that we don’t get to have date nights often. In fact we have not had one since before my little girl was born. With the lack of sleep and constant demands of everyday life, this would be a total dream for hubby and I. We would totally be humbled and grateful if we were to win the ‘The Love Actually’ Spa treatment and breakfast pamper!! ? I love following The Camps Bay retreat and sister hotel The Bay Hotel as well. Go well.

Spa treatment.? We haven’t had much unwinding or fun as he had to work most of December the kids just went to swim at oumas house and I a blink of an eye it was all over?. It was back to work and back to school for our daughter. Getting back to our routine has been easier this year as we spent most of our days at home and did nothing unusual but the norm.
It will be really great to win this competition as it would to be our first spa treatment experience as a couple…

But back to reality! ! Just as amazing though, my husband an I have a once a month ritual to unwind we have a movie night at home with supper, snacks an cuddle to a good movie or even a board game! It stirred up a wave of creativity

I am following both the pages on Instagram
In love with this retreat, I am

My favourite way to unwind with the children
At times, having ideas, are like one in a million

When my kids are completely occupied
In activities that still need to be supervised

Over the festive season, one in particular
Painting activities, for both kids should be similar

I’d be watching them whilst unwinding
Music plugged in with that glass of bubbly shining

It lasts for about a half an hour
Until their attention spand has lost its power

    Unwinding without the children
Is a luxury in my dreams that’s been buildin’

But if I do get the chance
Its usually any beach at a glance

Nature is what heals my soul
Fresh air and fauna will never grow old

    Gardens, trees, mountainous beauty
I too, can be relaxed without my cuties

A simple trip to the ocean
Calms me and sets my heart in motion

The love actually spa treatment would be perfect
For me and hubby to reconnect

    Few hours of alone time
Can surely not be a crime

We all need a time out and inspiration
To start a new with some elevation!!

With an almost 4 month old my husband and I don’t get much time to unwind but I would agree that you just need an hour or two doing something you enjoy to unwind. For me thats reading or taking a walk and got him it would be catching up on series or playing an online game (can’t change an IT nerd) but when we get time together it usually involves good food (we love eating) or sometimes just a quiet hour on the couch together while our little one is napping. This prize sounds amazing and I’d love to win this for the both of us……. some quality time before I head back to work (still not thinking about how I’m going to handle that) would be great!

I would love to win the “love actually spa treatment”. Both hubby and I have just come out of a hectic few months. He was retrenched from his job a few months back. Towards the end of last year my mother was diagnosed with cancer. My festive leave period was spent at her bedside taking care of her until she sadly lost her battle to cancer last Tuesday 10 January. I eventually returned to work on Wednesday 18 January, having had no real break. These past few weeks hubby and I have been living past each other as we put the needs of our extended family first. We are now at the point where we really need to re-connect with each other once again. Our favourite thing to do is having a couples massage, followed by breakfast and just reconnecting with each other without any outside distractions which life throws at you. A few hours without the kids would be an added bonus 🙂

Relationships aren’t easy – hey! don’t we all know that?
Unwinding means to relax, to do something that soothes the soul like reading, meditating and definitely listening to music. I love all those things and I definitely love relaxing – however I feel the only way you can truly unwind is when you are stress free, happy with and comfortable within the space of your loved one. I want the best for my relationship and a spa day would be ideal! We will be away from work, from people, from stress and responsibilities. This will be perfect for us to unwind a bit and to actually enjoy our freedom. For us to catch up on weeks of conversations, to share our thoughts, build our love into something extraordinary and to definitely just pick up the pieces where they were left. I honestly feel that he needs to be appreciated more and that a fresh start to our relationship could be one of the bests things this year! It’s also his birthday on 30 Jan – this giveaway is PEEEEERFECT!

Its so easy to get lost in the fast pace, every day routines we go through and almost natural to neglect your own well being or your relationship. My partner and I have been together for almost 6 years, celebrated our 5 year anniversary at home as I was sick.
Favourite way to unwind? Relaxing drives to unknown destinations, long baths with music and candles and trying dishes we’ve only read about!

I would love to win the Love Actually spa treatment. My fiancé and I are busy planning our wedding and as you know it can be very stressful. A break like this would be heavenly right now, for us to relax and unwind, even if just for a little while. We haven’t had a spa day in such a long time, and I think it is needed now more than ever. Fingers crossed for this amazing prize.

At this point in my life I cant even think of what my favourite way of unwinding is with or without my kids. Finances has been quite hectic so all I honestly do to unwind is open my bedroom curtains, lay on my bed journal and read. With the kids unwinding would include a drive to the nearest beach and allow the kids to splash whilst I watch them splashing.

I would love to win the treatment for two for me and my husband. We work so hard and rarely take time out for ourself. Im a teacher and struggle to switch off at times coz when I get home I cater to a 8 year old & 1 year old and i always say that my hubby is my oldest :). We are also expecting our 3rd (& last) lil bundle of joy in June and would appreciate a break before the baby arrives.

I love my life!! My kids bring so much joy to our lives and they keep us BUSY and motivated but a break is crucial and often gets shoved aside because of priorities and guilt of having fun without them. So this would be ideal and much appreciated♡

    We need this!!! Lol

I don’t really get much time to myself as I am a teacher with 40 kids in my class and as soon as I get home, I go back in to mommy mode, then I run a dance school after work till about 10pm at night so my favourite thing to do to relax is just sitting with a good cup of tea, some really awesome shortcake biscuits and reading (when I get the chance to ?)

The Love Actually package would be awesome. With a 6 and 5 year old, there isn’t much relaxation done at home, but what relaxes me after a long week of work is lighting up a fire and braai’ing. “My happy place”. And i often work late, so my wife is most definitely in need of some pampering. And we’ve never done any sort of couples spa treatments, and this sounds like a real blast.. nor to mention all the brownie points I will be scoring 🙂 a few hours away from the kids at a spa will probably feel like a vacation haha

We have a beautiful, busy 9 month old girl. She keeps us on our toes all the time, never a dull moment. Currently time out for me and hubby consists of watching a movie once the little one has fallen asleep although as you can imagine we don’t get far into the movie before falling asleep ourselves. We both have very demanding jobs, so add a few sleepless nights and we’re quite exhausted. That being said, neither of us would trade this experience for anything else. Each day we get the strength to carry on, fulfill the needs of our jobs and care for our little girl, after all it’s all for her.
We would love to enjoy some time out to relax and re-energize with the Love Actually package.
I am following both on Instagram. Looking forward to many more blogs from your inspiring page. 🙂

Hi Joann, how wonderful wouldn’t the “Love Actually” Spa Package be for us 2 lovebirds both in our 50’s… no empty nest as yet! We still at it doing the young Mom and Dad thing for our 3, going on 32 years now, so guess we need these treats as often as we can! We love our Weekends to start with a good hotel breakfast usually at 15 on Orange, thereafter Spa treat time! We haven’t been to the Camps Bay retreat yet. Hope we can do this for many more years Inshallah❤️ Im not sure if I’m eligible for this prize being a mature ModernMommy. I have followed the 2 accounts as you instructed. Thank You…. Zainab

The bath soak sounds good. As parents, you cant soak in a bath without worrying whether the toddler has set the house on fire or not.

My hubby and I love to unwind by going for a simple dinner, followed by a delightful movie preferably at a Cine Prestige where we lie back and have a few hours of us time….. this isn’t often enough though. With a soon to be 4 year old, and a 1 year old, me/us-time is a luxury we don’t see enough of! This prize would do us the world of good to simply reconnect as a couple and enjoy our time for a few hours, before going back to our babies while we adore whole heartedly! The “Love actually” package would be ideal for us, who celebrate 5 years this year too…. ?

I wont be choosy, anything will do. Either way it would be a much needed getaway. Single Mom now for past 5 years to my 20 old daughter and 5year old son with Cerebral Palsy. And doing all of it on my own. Cant remember when last I had just some me time. Will share this with my daughter though. Both been through some rough times

For us, the ultimate unwind is to get away to a remote destination whitout cell reception or other man-made distractions. There’s nothing like the tranquil buzz of nature to truly revive a tired soul. Lately, this has been a luxury just out of reach. However, I am guessing a morning of Love Actually Spa’ing would have a similar effect 🙂 Hubby and I soooo need this right now!

A few moments of togetherness for us are more precious than diamonds or pearls, our time together is an investment in our happiness, our love and our future. When your husband works away for two months and you have your little one of 3 asking ‘mommy where is my daddy” it makes you treasure those moments he is at home, watching them play horsey and hubby actually have to go on fours and “gallop” through the house with my son laughing so much you can’t help but laugh out loud yourself….to those moments I get to rub his feet because his work is so physical I can sense his tiredness and need for tlc. I love how we can enjoy and embrace life even in the small things we do together 🙂

My favourite way to relax is usually a nice and long bubble bath. However it hasn’t been very relaxing lately as my bathtub is now filled with rubber ducks, little cars and the odd shoe that my toddler loves to throw into the tub whenever he gets bored lol. I would love to win the Love Actually treatment as my hubby and I will be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary this month and are in desperate need of ‘we’ time!
