#WhatsGood, Mom?

We rush through our days somewhat oblivious to the fact that what we squeeze into 24 hours is actually beyond human comprehension. We don our Superwoman cape and get on with it and do our best to make sure that everyone is okay … sometimes without acknowledging that we need to charge our own batteries to make sure we can charge those of others. Yip, moms are human power banks. Those portable power sources who are able to make the world go round when others’ batteries have run down.

I recently came across a campaign that almost had me in tears … (I about it earlier and posted the video on my  and thought about how we need to take a step back at times and just take it all in.

As a mom, there’s so much that you take into consideration everyday, so many things that you have to keep in mind and … well, this campaign just showed that we are appreciated and that it’s the little things that count the most.

Whatever you are doing, make sure that you take a moment to yourself to just take a deep breath and to acknowledge all that is good. So, today, I ask you the question … What’s good? Post your comment below and win R500 to just spoil yourself 😉 #WhatsGood #TetraPakSA

    Hi Jo-Ann,
    What’s good??
Life itself is good and being able to see your children grow up into their own.
Having my mother and mother in law in my life everyday is a blessing and last but not least having God by my side and in my life.
    God Bless

Seeing my daughters expression when i come home from work! The happiness and excitement on her face is priceless, makes this tired mama feel so special and like she can tackle anything!

    Hi Jo-Ann,
Hmmm what a question. What’s good??
Im a mom of 3. My two eldest have autism. My baby is only 3 months old.
Whenever i mention this to anyone, the first things i get asked are, “It must be so hard” or “how do you cope”, and yes, it is hard and the truth is i don’t always cope.
BUT I’m the same as any mom because I love my children and want the best for them. I am thankful for them every day just the way they are with all their quirks and differences. My life is full of Tantrums and sleepless nights, buffet type meals as no one eats the same thing, sticky fingers and an even an untidy house. Im grateful for it all.. If we don’t spread positivity into our own lives and make the most of our situations, what a dark place it would be.

Whats good is appreciating life in whatever ways it throws you. I have remained strong and appreciating everyone around me. I have encountered difficult situations this year and I am glad that throughout all the obstacles i have remained firmly believing that I need to be strong and be a welcoming person. Life is to be appreciated everyday even with the smallest achievement. If something or someone makes you happy then celebrate them or with them.

#WhatsGood? I’m a mom of 3 beautiful children. Today, I celebrate #whatsgood because my youngest son, who turned 3 2 weeks ago made a number 2 by himself yesterday without any prompting or help. We celebrated this amazing milestone with cheers, high fives and a sweet treat. Because as a mom, my children’s triumphs are mine as well. And it’s the simple pleasures and things we forget about that make us happy.
