Thule Urban Glide Giveaway worth R8999 – enter!

Being a mom entails running about … constantly being on the go. And yet, as moms, we struggle to lead a truly active lifestyle with proper fitness activities for ourselves as we are always putting our children’s needs and health first. I recently had a very eye-opening conversation with Libi Roos (she and her daughter actually won a photoshoot on the blog with my Modern Mommy photographer, Nicky Stowe and that’s how I met her, though afterwards I realized she was the incredible person who was doing the most awesome facials – AND she’s offered a skin makeover for one of my lucky readers, so stay visiting for THIS giveaway too). She told me that after her husband passed away, she actually cancelled her gym subscription and bought a Thule stroller which she could run with on the promenade with her darling daughter and thus stay fit and have some bonding time and fitness training after work. Libi is an incredible mom and woman and I am so happy to have met her through the blog.

So, when Thule contacted me and let me know that they were keen to give one of my readers an incredible stroller, I was super excited. I know the Thule brand from my husband’s roof racks on his SUV and only recently realized that they are also the ones behind the great strollers I see on the Sea Point promenade when the fit moms are out running with their little people chilling in the running strollers, waiting for suicide hour to pass. I had a look at some information on the THULE Urban Glide which is the new “IT” Sport Stroller on the market. Firstly, Thule was established in Sweden in 1942 and have a passion for the great outdoors. Secondly, their stroller was launched after they spent years researching the international stroller market. THULE then launched their exceptional Sport Stroller range with great quality and comfort known only to this innovative forward-thinking brand.

Promoting active lifestyles supported by exceptional quality, THULE continues to expand on its “Active with Kids” range that is dedicated to the outdoor transportation of children and is packed with features to keep adults active with their kids. These Sport Strollers ooze the safety and innovation that have become synonymous with the THULE brand, and will transform your family outings into unforgettable memories. Due to its simplicity of functionality, the strollers provide a no-fuss solution to going about your outdoor experience without sacrificing family time.

The THULE Urban Glide is the stroller that has it all. It is a stroller with a lightweight aerodynamic design that is perfect for serious athletes and some serious pavement pounding as well as short walks and every day errands.  The sleek and lightweight stroller makes it the perfect choice for walking and running at any level.

The Urban Glide’s front wheel swivels for easy manoeuvrability and locks into place for jogging for increased stability when moving at a fast pace.  The comfortably-shaped and well-positioned handlebar with extended multi-position offers a range of heights for each individual’s comfort and provides enough space ahead for a generous kick stride.

The hand-activated front brake increases braking control on steep terrain, while the rear suspension provides a smooth and comfortable ride for your precious cargo. The padded seat with vented top reclines to a near flat position, allowing your little one the chance to nap, and you can keep an eye on your child through the view-in roof of the multi-position canopy, which also protects them from the sun and elements.

The Urban Glide also offers a large storage compartment with a zippered water resistant cover for safekeeping of some essentials while walking or jogging on your favourite path.

Storing and transporting the THULE Urban Glide is a breeze – use one hand to collapse the lightweight Sport Stroller into a sleek, compact position and lift with ease to store in your car or home. Lightweight yet sturdy materials make the Sport Stroller unique and easy-to-use and transport.

The THULE Urban Glide retails for R8999 and is available in Thule Partner stores, Kids Emporium Stores and my favourite store in Green Point and for online kiddies shopping- . For full product information, visit .

We need to win this as we bought a second hand pram from a lady. Our son is 1 month old. She promised to provide us with the front tray later on as she couldn’t find it. Needless to say..we are still without it and at the moment we cannot secure the snug and safe into the pram which makes it very unsafe. So we cannot use it at the moment and are in need of a new pram.

I love that the front wheel swivels for easy manoeuvrability, the well-positioned handlebar that offers a range of heights , the hand-activated front brake and large storage compartment. I would so love to win so that I can get my body into shape after child birth without having to worry about a babysitter.

Ever since my toddler was a small baby, our regular strolls through our neighbourhood have been a special bonding time for us. My daughter’s favourite expedition is a brisk walk to the park, whereas our Monday afternoon coffee-and-retail-therapy outings are my personal favourite. My daughter is particularly busy and vocal and has never enjoyed sitting still, but the stroller is her happy place and it allows both of us some chill time in the fresh air and Joburg sunshine.

Having recently making some career changes to allow for more time with my daughter, I have started jogging again, and my goal is to improve my pace to a point where I can call it running! The THULE Urban Glide Sports Stroller, with its lightweight aerodynamic design and ample kick space, would allow me to combine my fitness regime with my family time. I can just imagine my daughter peeking at me through the transparent window of the THULE Urban Glide’s canopy – it is important to me that she is protected from the sun on our outings.

I have a 13 month old and have been keeping up with a mommy and me pilates class. It’s been great, but my little one wants to be out and about now, to explore the birds in our neighborhood and watch the builders building a school near our home. And I would just LOVE to be able to run or even jog at a pace that our current pram just can not handle. I am sure the Thule Urban Glider would be just the muscle to contend with our bumpy roads!

Now this is something i can really put to great use, my little one is full of energy and i really struggle when i am outdoors alone with him, i recently had to cancel my Gym subscription because i don’t have anyone to watch him whilst i am at gym and considering he is in full day creche i don’t have the heart to fetch him from creche and then leave him at club V. Also there is no time from leaving home with him at 6am and coming home at 6pm this momma has an extra full day. But something i have always enjoyed is running especially on the Umhlanga Promenade so with the Thule Urban Glider offereing Rear suspension for a smooth and comfortable ride i know my little one will be comfortable and Thule for me is safety, and strong so nothing is more important than my little one being safe, i cant wait to get back into Parkrun im Unhlanga and having this stroller will be one less thing to worry about and i can get back to more mommy and son bonding sessions

I just love all the features but especially the “comfortably-shaped and well-positioned handlebar with extended multi-position offers a range of heights for each individual’s comfort and provides enough space ahead for a generous kick stride”. I am an average tallish lady and this will make sure that jogging with my boy day to day walks are comfortable and easy going. This will really come in handy as my husband and I used to do park runs but not so often anymore. This stroller will make sure we keep to our record run times and not be left behind as a result of struggling with a 4 wheel pram!

I am a mom of two and I’m also currently studying physiotherapy.my youngest is 4 months and this pram would be the most amazing help for me now that I’m trying to get back into my running and exersizes . it means that I can run in the morning without having to wait for my amazing nanny or without having to ask her to come in extra early as she lives very far . It Would be amazing for a run to also just be effortless and currently trying to run with my bulky pram just does not work out at all and it’s really taking me extra long to just start again . Physiotherapy is a very demanding course physically and time is a problem so just being able to get up and go would be amazing !

As a very active family, I run and have maintained running throughout my pregnancy (32 weeks pregnancy now) and my husband who has completed 3 Ironman and 3 Comrades, the Thule Urban Glider would just fit into our family perfectly. The rear suspension sounds fantastic, what baby wouldn’t want a smooth ride with her crazy #fitfam. It is also light and will be taken on all our holidays. The Thule Urban Glider would be a great for our new family xx

If purpose, style, comfort and ease comes in a pram then this is the make for my 13month old. I do not gym or jog but I most certainly do urban terrain and the see-through roof will help this overly protective mum keep watch and still manoeuvre my way around with parcels in the roomy pram. The weight limit means my little girl can grow with this pram making it worth the purchase… And definitely worth the win!

To say what my favourite features wouldn’t do justice to the stroller because ive never had the privilege of holding one of these in my hands. Reading your post i can identify what speaks to, infact, all features do. I like how having this stroller is regarded as safe … which all moms are grateful for, the hand brakes is a winner for me. I love that there is a large storage compartment .. and a water resistent zipper cover amd it’s LIGHTWEIGHT—-YIPPEE!!!!. Any mom and/or dad would be so lucky to win this awesome prize.. not only for the comfort of baby, but one more reason to get out of bed and whip the body back into shape. In closing, thank you for affording us the opportunity to send our comments and hopefully win theeeeee PRIZE!!

My name is Terri-Sue Fraser, I’m a few weeks away from celebrating my 30th birthday, and it’s just a few short weeks before my husband and I have the privilege of welcoming our first little bundle of joy, a little boy, who we have affectionately nicknamed ‘Smally’. He is due on the 3 July and we can’t wait to meet him!

I would absolutely love to stand a chance to win the Thule Urban Glider! Getting back into an active and healthy lifestyle after Smally arrives is very important to me. My husband enjoys mountain biking, while I usually run or walk on the outdoor trails. Winning a Thule Urban Glider will mean that I’ll be able to seamlessly have Smally join us for those outdoor adventures.

I’m most excited about the hand-activated front brake which increases braking control on steep terrains. For someone who enjoys trail walks this is essential to secure our little ones safety.
The large storage compartment with a zippered water resistant cover is such a great feature for storing all the extras a little one adds to ones life. The fact that it is light-weight, sleek yet sturdy, not to mention gorgeous, are all added reasons to love the Thule Urban Glider!

I love the cleverly thought Swivel front wheel for easy maneuverability and locks into place for jogging.
The Ergonomic handlebar with a range of heights for parent’s comfort is a great👏🏻
It’s had a Rear suspension for a smooth and comfortable ride and the Padded seat That reclines to a near flat position for on-the-go naps for our bubs😊
I would be ecstatic to win this THULE Urban Glide pram and not have to struggle with my 4 wheeler pram on runs, especially over the gravel paths and my son can enjoy a smooth ride 😬👌🏻

I would really love this pram as I now have 2 busy boys to run after, aged 2years and 6 months. I always look for pram that’s easy to assemble and store, and the urban glider would definitely give us that, especially when you need to fit groceries, 2 car seats and 2 very tired parents into one car while holding onto your sanity. Being a working mom, I struggle to take my kids out on my own as its bar impossible to get us all out of the house in one piece and still having to get a bulky pram out the boot.

Aaaah this would be so awesome. My son will be three years old in July and baby number two is on her way. From a mommy having so much time to keep fit and healthy i have gone to a mommy that only has time to run behind a toddler on his scooter down the road with my pregnant tummy right behind him. We bought a stroler but after trying to do one parkrun, ended up realizing that a normal stroler just wont do. This will really help to get fit and healthy again!

My darling husband has joined me so he is my fitness buddy when I feel like giving up. I’m also recovering from spinal surgery which I had just before I fell pregnant. My journey is painful and tough on me. But every day I’m thankful for the opportunity that life has given me. A new day and a new me is what I look forward to. I would love to win this for my sister, who is now a few months pregnant with her second baby. She struggled to loose the weight after the first baby and I believe with this stroller she’ll be motivated to shed the weight much quicker plus she’ll be able to do this with her hubby who is a runner. What love about this stroller amongst other things is it’s flexibility, safety mechanism and the large storage compartment . So this will mean she has no more excuses whatsoever to shed the weight plus they ( her and baby) will get to spend more time with the hubby 🙂

My little girl loves the outside so this would be the perfect way for me to get back to feeling great about myself and spending time with my precious baby. The most difficult part about getting fit, is being away from my girl for time at the gym after already spending 9-11 hours a day at work and without her.

I would like to win it because it’ perfect features are what I need in my life this season of raising 3 young kids.. I gave birth a month ago to our third baby. I now have to juggle managing the 3 kids and I also need to get into into shape for my own health sake and that of my family . So with the Thule Urban Glider I can achieve it all. It’s good for outdoor activities when exercising or entertaining kids, lightweight which makes it easy to lift for us moms. It’s easy storage at home and in car. It uses one hand to collapse and hand activated breaks makes it user friendly and safe for my little one. It has paded seats which will keep my baby comfortable while sitting or napping and it also reclines to maintain different position. It would realy make my life a lot simpler to have one and a perfect gift for my Umusa.

I am a mother of a 3 year old gorgeous boy and I have another boy/girl on the way. Although I love my son and I am extremely excited for the little being growing inside me, the hardest part of post pregnancy for me the first time was my self image. The difficulty of losing the baby weight and bloated belly from having an emergency c-section. I really struggled with it and it took me a year to get back into my jeans and feel sexy again. The urban glider sounds absolutely amazing with all it’s features and the perfect tool to help getting any mum back into the groove of feeling fierce again, never mind the comfort and protection it provides for your precious angel while you are on the move. I would absolutely love to win this!!!

My son was 9 years and 5 months when he passed on last year February. I have always been afraid of having another child because my son was diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy and he’s was completely disabled. He couldn’t sit on his own, crawl, walk, stand or talk. It was the hardest 9 years and 5 months and it has even been harder now that it has been a one year, 3 months and 1 day since he took his last breath. I struggled to get him a buggy and a wheelchair so for years I used his pram as a wheelchair and there is nothing left of that pram right now.

I want to try again for a baby but I’m afraid. I’m afraid that my baby might be disabled and this isn’t the right time because I am unemployed, but I would love to have a stroller like this when I’m ready to have my baby next year. My baby sister is pregnant and I can’t travel home to Mpumalanga for her babyshower because I don’t have money right now or for the gift. Imagine how happy she would be if I was able to go home and show up with a stroller like yours. She’d be ecstatic, so would I.

    Hi there!
I would love to get this, it would be a blessing! My husband and I are pregnant ( greatest news) and been strolling the malls just to find the right stroller. Sufficient storage space, aerodynamics that are superb, light weight, modern and that has the benefits of for a working mom to “get things done in 1 hr- baby care and fitness to shead those extra kilos.

I am a medical doctor, an inspiring surgeon and fitness is no understatement in our careers. It’s essential you remain fit, always! As a mom- to be, and the lifestyle of being in the medical profession is extremely hectic. I never make appointments with my trainer and have resorted to actually running in the mornings at 5am and then rushing to work. I’m really trying to find the balance. The THULE stroller is an awesome design made for the working mom, trying to balance a fitness regime in her hectic lifestyle and set and example to her husband and children.

I would be grateful to win this outstandingly, crafted THULE Urban stroller to add ease in my life and make workouts,on a daily basis a piece of cake!

As a mom of two little kids it’s a constant juggle. From making sure my sons little bike and daughters stroller (little but no storage space), gets ample space in car with every outing, and trying to establish where and when I can fit exercise in without compromising on family time.

The THULE Pram sounds like a dream come true that would add much value to my life.
Having a pram that’s comfortable for my baby to sit or lie in, one that’s easy to move around with, has storage space that is SK need with two little people, and is user friendly sounds like a much needed addition to my family. Lol.
Best of all- being able to be active whilst having my babies close by and enjoying a stroll/jog with mom makes all the difference to each day.

This would honestly make me happy mom, but more importantly a healthy active mom who gets to enjoy many more moments with my little ones, whilst not ignoring my need to be fit and fabulous!

Being a working mom, it has been exceptionally difficult to juggle my career and time with my most beautiful little girl, never mind also my husband. My husband is an avid sport fanatic (I believe I once was too before becoming a mom) and he always training to next race. What better way to end a busy work day and spend quality time with my family than enjoying a brisk walk and hopefully soon a run when my fitness levels increase back to my pre baby level.

I absolutely love everything about this stroller! Not only does it look sleek and stylish enough to transition to mall walks but also is it absolutely perfect with its hand-activated front brake to assist with the braking control on the steep terrain of the Kzn rolling hills. The aerodynamic design will get me back into confidently and easily taking my daughter on a 10km run with me. I love the waterproof storage area that I can keep my daughter’s little snuggle bunny safe and also bring some snacks to refuel after a nice run as a family. Well done Thule on a fantastic product and for encouraging happy healthy and safe family active lifestyles

I made a promise to my self that after baby 2 is born that I will continue on my weight loss, being fit and healty lifestyle regime. I have lost 20kg before falling pregnant, currently I’m 6 1/2 months pregnant. I love the lightweight of the Thule Urban Glider and the waterproof compartment would be super handy for my phone and keys.

Its our first baby and I we’ve being waiting for our blessing so very long. It actually came as a surprise as I was just about to give up and follow the adoption process. I would love to have a stroller and especially the Thule stroller as it would be convenient for myself and hubby to transport our bundle of joy and have fun while doing so. I also love the fact that it seems easily transportable and easy to use.

Ive recovered from stitches etc…the discomfort of after the birth is slowly starting to wear off..im definitely ready for a jog but cant do it without my son as his dad works shifts. This could also serve as bonding time for baby and i.

I’m a full time working mom and time is not a luxury I have. Before my little man was born I was a marathon runner and fitness was so important to me. Mommyhood, gaining 27 kg during pregnancy and trying to adjust to being a working (ebf) mom took it’s toll. While I’ve been trying to half heartedly get back on the road, I decided I needed a kickstart. I challenged myself to run 5km a day for the month of April. Not a mad challenge, but something to get training and consistency back into my busy schedule. Come rain or shine I hit the pavement. The Thule Glider would definitely have helped because I could have taken my little guy
with me on the tougher routes, and manoeuvred one handed over dodgy pavements. I finished my challenge (you can follow it on Insta here #5kmadayfor30days) and got a little fitter, but the greatest reward was inspiring others and being encouraged by others along the way! #challengeyourself

I have always being a big admirer of the Thule brand. This stroller will be fantastic for when she gets home and we can certainly hit the outdoors. Me, my husband and our fur child try spend much time outdoors enjoying walks and adventures. Malls and indoor crowded areas will be a no no for us… Being a premmie she will benefit from being comfortable in the padded seat supported by the great rear suspension when we stroll Newslands forest or Sea Point Promenade. Keen on the view-in roof and that it can recline very well. This light weight stroller will be a super treat for Mom and dad. I would love the opportunity to win this fabulous stroller. I have severe endometriosis and after 7 years of infertility our little miracle IVF baby was born this year. I had a very traumatic birth as my endo started to bleed during my emergency c-section and I was lucky to survive thanks to my brilliant doctors. I love the outdoors and was advised my doctor that I need to walk to strengthen my health. However, I hate being away from my precious little angel and with the Thule Urban Glide we could stay fit and healthy together. Our family will also enjoy our outdoor explorations and baby will be safe and snuggle in his new stroller, protected from the elements.

My Mommy and Daddy are borrowing a pram at the moment but we would be so grateful to get such a fancy and strong outdoor pram to call my own. I love going for long walks in my pram, sometimes I stay awake but after a while I fall asleep then strangely wake up in my cot. I would be so proud to have a fancy pram like that, I am sure all the other babies would be so jealous.

Nonetheless, my house is always filled with kids.

Your kid is my kid when they at my house, they like my own. There are times when I also have babies over for the day/weekend and when doing an errand it ain’t easy at all.

When it comes to any meal time, I feed all equally and dishing up for 16plus kids ain’t no joke as I have to prepare the meal from scratch.

However, MY KIDS ARE always greatful, appreciative from the bottom of there hearts and enjoys everything with myself and my kids.

This one is a blessing from God. She is a very hard working mom and very active. Her husband works on the see and only comes home 3 times a year. They like to do a lot of stuff when they together.
The pram will help them take the baby where they always went before the baby. The pram is very stylish and modern. It is suitable for travelling and outdoor activities.

I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease NMO about a year and a half ago, my last attack that I had effected my spine and left me numb and in pain all through the left hand side of my body I had to learn to walk again and as I was very overweight I decided I had to take back my own life and start getting fit, I lost 30kg and learnt to walk faster every day, we fell pregnant this year and I am currently 12 weeks, I would love to win this troller and get going with my fitness again once baby is born, the light weightedness and one handed compact fold would make life with baby so much easier as my body still struggles with daily tasks so simple and easy fits right in! And as for the rear suspension of the Thule Stroller I believe both baby and mommy would enjoy the the smooth comfortable ride!

WoW! what a fantastic prize! When we 1st bought our baby pram, I bought the lightest stroller I could find making it easy for me to zip in and out of malls and easy on the arms while on mommy duty, BUT its not a pram for the more ‘scenic off the beaten track’ route. I love taking my little one for walks but would love it even more if I had a Thule urban glide for a more sturdier ride and to take on those hills which I always have to pass up. Its aerodynamic design will definitely help with that! #superfitmomtobe #superhappybaby

After having my first daughter, I put every ounce of energy and time into her. Invitations to social events were put off and I completely stopped doing anything for myself including exercising (mother’s guilt, we all have it!). I felt every minute of my “free” time needed to be devoted to her (I know realise how important balance is). I completely stopped going to gym, which I really loved after an intense day at work #thuleurbanglidergiveaway #modernmommymusthave

Fast track 3 years, my daughter started school and I finally didn’t feel so guilty about spending sometime on myself – I got into running (after many years of my husband trying to drag me along) and from there I was completely addicted.

Running is like my very own “refresh button” and makes for a much happier and healthier mom and kids too. I’ve recently had my second little girl, who I simply adore but sneaking runs inbetween nursing, naps and when granny is around is proving quite tricky. My current pram isn’t suitable for various terrain and is the equivalent of lugging around a ton of bricks! I’d love to be able to enjoy a run with my poppet…the fresh would do us both good! I’d be able to spend time with my little one while getting in a workout – the best of both worlds!

I’ve been eyeing-out the Thule Urban Glide jogger for a while, it’s top of my wish list – it’s light weight, easy to manoeuvre, a stunning design and has an impressive storage capacity for all the accessories that come along with having a baby. Juggling two little ladies is quite a challenge, time management is everything and being able to bond and exercise at the same time would be perfect for a very busy schedule.

So I’ve started running in January because I felt that after my second son I’ve picked up just a little too much weight 🙂 I so much want to take him with me all the time because he loves the outdoors but the pram I have, which was a hand-me-down and we’re so very grateful for it, just isn’t safe for my son. The places I run often have uneven or graveled pathways and so I have to leave him at home because I’m scared he’ll get hurt with all the bouncing and so on. With all the amazing features mentioned, I think I love the padded seat with vented top and allowing one to keep an eye on your child through the view-in roof of the multi-position canopy, which also protects them from the sun and elements. As a mom, we always want to know that our kids are ok. The fact that there’s more stability when jogging will make me feel comfortable enough to take him with wherever I have to run. This would be a fantastic way of spending more quality time with my son and even better that if my husband didn’t have to look after our son while I’m running, that he’ll join us and we can do this together 🙂

My son is currently using an old stroller that was a hand me down from a relative, for which we are humbly appreciative off, however I would love for my baby boy to own his very own new comfy stroller with all the beautiful features it has to offer. hubby and I often do the park runs or morning jogs on the Durban beach promenade so this stroller would really be very helpful when taking baby with us as a family. The feature that I love the most is that the “THULE Urban Glide is the stroller that has it all. It is a stroller with a lightweight aerodynamic design that is totally amazing for my every day errands. She is now just over 6 weeks and those little legs are still kicking! The Thule Urban Glide will be most fabulous gift for us as we are city girls and taking a walk and run will bliss for us. What I love about the Thule Urban Glide is that safety comes first. My bundle of joy will be safe as we go on adventures… that is the most important aspect for me being a mom! Reading words like “no-fuss” makes me happy; multitasking is an important skill mothers take on and when strollers are easy to handle then I can check one less item on my mommy-list. Money matters has always made us absolutely petrified of this decision. How on earth will we be able to provide everything a baby needs? But then, someone close to us said that if we were to wait for finances to fall in place we’d wait forever and a day. Therefore we have officially started trying! Yay! My favourite aspect of the Thule pram is the look of it. I love how sleek it looks and the way it handles on uneven terrain. It looks like it would be a really smooth ride for a little precious bundle and the fact that it allows Mum to get out into the fresh air and keep active is probably my best feature. I know how much better I feel after I’ve done a bit of exercise, and to be honest, that is what keeps me sane as a mom. I would absolutely love to win one of these prams, as I think it creates such great habits from a young age for little one’s.

    Hi there.
First of all thank you for your wonderful blog always inspiring and th fact you are still breastfeeding your daughter is so amazing and inspired me to exclusively breastfeed my daughter for as long as I can.
When we fell pregnant we were over the moon our first baby my pregnancy was not the easiest and was towards the end it became scary and made it difficult for me to exercise and before we knew it baby Paisley-Anne was here 6 weeks early. With that being said we had gotten a second hand pram from a family member’s family. We are forever grateful to them for thinking of us, however, deep down I wanted a knew one for my babygirl. Unfortunately we can not afford this beautiful stroller which comes with the amazing safety features and I love the fact its lightweight because as a mom you always on the run everything is a rush so you need something light n quick n easy to use. Its not at all bulky which is a plus because we have a small car. Our baba is now 11 weeks old and to win this beautiful stroller would mean the world to the three of us. Knowing that I am taking her for a stroll and getting a workout at the same time while still having her with me is what we look forward to. Our secondhand pram is bulky. Thank you for wonderful work on your blog.

Being a teacher and sport coach I’m always on the run. My baby is due in 4 weeks and during my maternity leave I will be coaching netball and Athletics. Being active makes my pragnancy so easy…but having to do all of this wit a newborn will be next level. The Thule pram is more a dream… I must say…I did try to bend the baby daddy’s arm for this, because this was on my wish list for a pram. Because it is so light it makes it easey for me to use and to store in my car with netball balls and tock bags. The fact that it os water resistant will make my July easier because baby will be with me next to court and a winter thunderstorm is always on the radar at Gauteng playoffs. The viewroof is awesome. While I run up and down and jog I can keep an eye on my little one. Above all I must say… this is like a good pair of tekkies… a super sexy assesorie. Oho please make my life and let me and baba cruise in style.

Hi, Im entering on behalf of my sister who I truly believes deserves this awesome gift. My sis had her first kid 12 years ago and both her and hubby decided that he would be an only child. Last year they decided that my brother in law would have a vasectomy, but life turned their plans upside down. Unfortunatley my brother in law fell very ill and next thing my sister was dealing with a husband in ICU due to cancer and a stroke. The latter part of 2016 was the hardest ever for my sis, she had to juggle getting her 12 year old to school, going to work and still seeing my brother in hospital daily. during all this time she had no idea that a little blessing was growing inside of her. In December she went to consult after feeling ill for a while which she thought was stress related. Thats when she was told that by end of March 2017 a little boy would join the fam. it was the biggest shock for her and hubby. The main reason i think this stroller will be a great benefit is that my brother is not fully recovered and is still doing some physio because of the stroke after effects. DR’s have told him to maintain an active lifestyle which includes lots of walk and if possible jogging. The main thing I like about the stroller is that its very light so He wont struggle with pushing the baby around. Having the stroller will enable him and Zacharia to bond whilst he is recovering. The stroller can be pushed by my bigger nephew as well so the entire family can then join in on the fitness journey to help my brother to recover. I really think that they would appreciate this gift and it will really help with my brothers recovery

I would love to win this beautiful stroller because firstly i have never won anything before, lol. I’m mom of three beautiful kids and at my age of 40 thought i was done having babies until i recently fell ill and had to taken to doctor. He didn’t find anything wrong and later thought it would be good idea to see my gynae, which we found out i was three months pregnant. It was great shock to me and my family. It would be awesome to win something special like this pram as it has so many features especially for the outdoors…♥

    Hi There,

I’d like to win the pram because my fiance and I are currently trying for a second baby… I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis in 2009 and have had 3 operations to date. Conceiving my first child (daughter now aged 4) was a miracle because of my condition, now we’re desperately trying for a second child because I’ve now been diagnosed with another condition, Adenomyosis and have been told that the only way to cure it is via a hysterectomy.

Winning the pram would be a perfect gift for my soon-to-be-conceived miracle baby (we are hopeful even though my 2 conditions affect fertility).

When I was a baby, I never had a stroller nor did my mother live in an area where she could take an afternoon walk with me in a stroller. Soon to be a first time mommy, I would like my baby boy to have the best and that includes all essentials I never had. I strive to live a happy and healthy life and love taking walks and jogs in the neighbourhood and so does my husband.

The Thule Urban glide will come in handy for our afternoon walks while ensuring that both myself and baby have the best outdoor experience in style and comfort.

Wow, how does one choose just one favourite feature on a product with so many! If I have to pick out one, it would be the well-positioned handlebar with extended multi-position height adjustments as I am a tall lady so most strollers are quite low for me, or least the one I have.

What I love about the stroller is that it gives you the opportunity to work-out and spend time with your baby. As a working mom its hard to find the time to work-out between managing the household and spending quality time with baby. With this stroller you can do both and it will contribute to a happy, healthy mom, which leads to a happy healthy baby and family.

Life would be so much easier with this stroller, plus baby would be safe and comfortable!

Thank you for a wonderful blog!

Due to complications during my pregnancy, I had to stop all moderate to heavy exercise, which included my running. Needless to say, I am now totally out of shape.
My baby is now 4 months and I have some serious flab to get rid of. I would love love love to win this Thule jogger, as it will mean that I can involve my ever growing, enthusiastic little 4month old boy in my daily running schedule. No excuse about having to look after the baby, etc lol.
I would also have piece of mind in knowing that my baby is safe in this beauty and one of the main features that caught my attention is the hand-activated front brake that increases braking control on steep terrain.
I would really love to jog away with my precious cargo in the Thule Urban Glide 🙂
This jogger provides style, comfort and above all safety!

Wow, this is any active mom’s dream to have a pram like this. Lightweight, easy to fold, a handle bar with a range of heights and a big enough canopy for protection against the sun any time the day, this is only a few.

The large storage compartment is also a big win. You can store everything needed for your little one without having to carry with an additional diaper bag.

Parkrun, shopping or even just a stroll in the afternoon, the Thule Urban Glide would be perfect.

I would love to win one of these prams. Keeping the active lifestyle going WITH my daughter.

    Thanks for the lovely blog.

I would LOVE to win the Thule Urban Glide for my son, who’s favourite activity is taking our Schnauzer, Henry, for walks and runs. Samuel fetches Henry’s lead all on his own and insists that he joins us on our morning walks (besties)..

The features of the Thule Urban Glide that I am most excited about are the multi-position handle bars (nothing worse than tripping over your own feet with a pram that doesn’t have enough stride space), and it’s hand-activated front break because we live in the winelands and it’s very hilly on our walks.

My son and I (and Henry 🐶) would be over the moon if we won this stroller.

I would love to own a Thule stroller! I like that there is a peep hole in the ‘roof’ and that the front wheel can lock. Ben is now 10 months old and for the first time since his birth I feel confident enough to go for a jog and do exercise in public! But sadly I don’t own a stroller. Help me to be I fit mommy so I can set an example for Ben!

My little girl and I have recently started walking, to get more active and gives us a chance to get some fresh air. However, she loves to be carried and only walks for short distances. Being pregnant, it is becoming extremely difficult and takes a big toll on my body to carry her. The Thule would be perfect, as it is lightweight, and would make it easier for me to move around. It would definitely be a lifesaver, as I can continue walking and she would be comfortable and safe in her pram.

    What an awesome giveaway.
As a mother of 4 and cake decorator by profession, there’s very little time for exercise. I’ve recently started walking to get some me time but often impossible because my little 9month old is a clinger. Don’t want to stay with daddy or anyone.
This stroller would be great taking her with and still getting my 30minutes walk daily.
I like the durability. Water resistant. Easy to fold up and store but most importantly safe and lightweight for those strolls and bumps and knocks along the pavement.

    Hello Jo-ann

“Stroller for what ?!” is what I imagine my mom would say to me if I told her I entered this competition LOL you see I come from a long line of strong black women who have used their backs to carry all their children (EVERYWHERE,I could go into detail about how this can sometimes be a problem but nah…).A stroller is so foreign to my family that i know for a fact I will not receive anything that even remotely resembles a stroller for my baby shower *laughs in barefooted and pregnant*.
Well I’m a soon to be *very modern* mommy and I actually enjoy conquering steep hills and circuit training *flexes a slowly disappearing six pack* I would love to be able to continue my activeness even after giving birth and have my jelly bean with me (now how would I be able to do that with a baby tied to my back, mom?…. )
So as an ode to the very first stroller that will set foot in my family *laughs in modern mommy* i love its light weight and sleekness ( my mom can’t use the excuse that “these things are just cumbersome and heavy*) added to this I love the padded seat with the vented top which reclines to a near flat position for on-the-go naps ( that doesn’t sound like any ordinary stroller to me).

So Jo-Ann and THULE won’t you please help me break this generational curse? LOL.

For my wife and I running has always been special as its a time when we can reinforce the bond between us. With our first child, we managed to include him in the activity and running transformed into an activity that brings us together as a family, not just a couple. Now that we have a second kid in the family our current jogger is no longer enough and we would love a chance to keep running as an activity we can share as a family. This jogger would do that for us. So, help us maintain the family activity and pick us 🙂

I am about to become a first time mummy at 35… this is thought to be quite old, I say age is how you feel!!! I will say my metabolism is not what it used to be- and the constant jibes of ‘how big’ my baby is going to be… and ‘are you sure you aren’t having twins?’ does eventually get to a person. I was an extremely active person before pregnancy, having completed four 70.3’s, two full ironman’s and made 82km of the comrades before I had to pull out- but pregnancy has taken its toll and after a miscarriage, coupled with a torn calf muscle due to the weakening muscles after the DNC and then a broken rib from my rather active baby- I have struggled. I am still managing Pilates and swimming 2km twice a week. I am REALLY looking forward to running again and have been searching running prams- which is why I know that Thule really is top of the top!!!! The fact that the front wheel can swivel or be locked is a big feature for me – as this will allow running with ease. It is lightweight and also durable (it is Thule!!!) and doesn’t look half bad either! I know it will keep my baby safe while I get to enjoy the great outdoors. It would be an absolute treat to win this stroller.

Due to its simplicity of functionality, the strollers provides a no-fuss solution to going about my outdoor experience which will be awesome to manage these little busy bees! Expecting my boy and unfortunately sold all my baby goodies not expecting this little blessing from God to arrive 6 years later!!! Due to the cost of the strollers nowadays I need to still purchase mine second hand. I love going on walks with my girls this will be perfect if my baby boy can join us if we should win this STUNNING PRIZE!!

    Hi

I am a mom of a very busy 15 month old.
I run a lot of races and most of them start really early, I have to leave her behind or take her along in a stroller which is not really conducive to races..
She is my biggest supporter, always with me.
I run my races so I can show her that her mommy can do anything and so can she. While I run I always tell myself “Do this for Rania”.
    She is my best.
When I go to gym I always have to leave her at Junior care, most times she cries.
It would be awesome if I could put her in the Thule Urban Glide and take her on the road with me during races and while training, she would love it so much.
I hate that my training takes me away from my little girl.

I love that the stroller is lightweight aerodynamic. Holding a toddler while trying to fold a stroller is not always easy and the Thule makes it effortless.
I always look at it at Sportsmans Warehouse but can never buy it because I cannot afford it.

I would really love to win this pram, it would be life changing!

My Husband and I would love to win this pram. We are both extremely active people. Love to Jog .. well that was before our little man arrived. Since then we have been battling to find the time to jog as one always needs to look after our baby… we are also never home in the afternoons at the same time hence one cant run while the other babysits. We would love to be able to start exposing our baby to the outdoors as well and take him along for a jog. Winning this pram would boost us back into a jogging regime to stay healthy and partake in races; not to mention introduce some family time outdoors.

I am currently 8.5 months pregnant with a beautiful princess which is to be my second daughter. I have always loved the thule brand, it looks great and is so sturdy but compact at the same time but I have never been able to afford one and I often resulted in kangaroo carrying my first daughter much to my backs detriment. I ended up buying a cheap pram to run with my daughter but it was such a painful exercise that I gave it up altogether. I would love to be an ambassador for this brand by proudly owning one of my own which I will pay it forward to another mom once my princess is of age. Thank you for the opportunity thule and modern mommy.

    This stroller looks amazing!
I am mom to a 2 year old boy and a 3 month old girl. Before my son was born, I was a keen runner. After I had him, I got back into running. I would go with my husband and we used the stroller we had to push my son. As it wasn’t a proper jogger, it hasn’t handled too well. Now that I’ve had my daughter, I would like to get back into it but am not finding it very easy. I’ve been battling with postpartum depression and I find exercise really helps me, so a proper jogger pram like this would make it so much easier to exercise with my daughter while my son is at creche.

One of the other things I really like about this stroller is the multi-position handlebar. The reason being the generous kick stride which is needed for my husband. He is very tall and would also like to be able to take our daughter out for a walk/run for some daddy/daughter bonding time (and a break for mom!)

Being a full time working mom allows me no time for myself, never mind anytime to gym,

I would love to be able to get my confidence and some self love back. I want to be my athletic self again.
This is a step in the right direction.
Nike run here i come… this Stella got her groove back!!
What i love about this stroller is:
    – It allows you to jog with ease and peace of mind and;
    – The hand activated brake which ensures i am in control at all times

I am an attorney and lecturer in law by profession. My job keeps me very busy juggling lecturing students and dealing with private clients. However I always maintained throughout my life that healthy mind = healthy body so I balance my hectic work schedule with exercise. 2016 was the year in which i intended my PhD in law. It was a grueling year and I needed to add something more to my exercise regime to help with my writing. I decided to start running, I began with simple 5km runs on the promenade at the Durban beachfront which helped me mentally then i challenged myself and entered races from the Deloitte 21km to the Mandela 21km as well as various other races. It was an amazing feeling and i decided then and there that one day i will compete in the comrades marathon. on the work front and the PhD, In December 2016 i submitted by completed thesis for examination and was ecstatic. I also received the good news that I was chosen to participate in the two oceans marathon this year and everything seemed to be working out for me. Little did i realize that God was going to shower me with an even bigger gift.. a baby.., I found out at the beginning of this year that I am pregnant with my first baby. She is due in August:). I had to stop participating in races for a while but I have not stopped my regular gym routine incorporating now pilates and swimming. I intend on getting back to running after my baby is born and would love the Thule stroller as it would assist me in continuing with my running along with my baby. It will allow me the comfort and peace of mind to enjoy my runs knowing that my baby is safe and sound tucked inside this versatile stroller.

I’ve had 7 pregnancies, but only 3 babies survived. Always been a healthy person so couldn’t understand why my body was doing it to me. Had my little girl after 14 years so my kids age gaps are very challenging. Developed severe plantar fasciitis which is a painful foot condition, so headed off to a podiatrist who is so knowledgeable I think he’s saved my life. Encouraged me to do blood tests which showed genetic insulin resistance. Finally have peace of mind with my weight issues. Needless to say im over protective of my kids so ive stopped working in order to spend time with my laat lammetjie. Running is on my mommy to do list – this would just make me want to actually get out and run. Hi to all the Modern Mommies,

Firstly Jo-Ann, what an amazing gift you and THULE is giving away. When I saw it I really couldn’t believe that you are giving away the Ferrari’s of prams. Great job. Your blogs are so inspiring to us Busy Moms. Its always so refreshing to read that there is some people going through exactly what I am. Real life SA moms that have the same issues with the day to day life with a baby.

Of cause staying fit and healthy after having a baby is ISSUE #1. The gym was never really for me. I definitely never had the self confidence to sweat next to the pro’s in the gym. I am more of an outdoors person. Take a walk, take a jog and breathe in some fresh air. This Thule Urban Glide would be so perfect for me and my little Riley, it seems so strong my next little one will be able to use it as well.

Here is what I LOVE about it. When I had my baby I was on unpaid maternity leave. Needles to say things was a bit tight. When I say tight, I mean very tight. My husband had to support our entire household and we had this new precious expense. We bought a new budget, entry level stroller. You always hear people’s advice…” Don’t buy anything expensive, babies grow so fast out of stuff…” or …She is only going to use it for a little while, you are wasting your money…”. However, us as new parents didn’t want to hear this. But had no real choice as our funds was soooo limited. So we invested (with the little money that we had) in an entry level stroller. But let me tell you Modern Mommies out there …. DO NOT BE CHEAP ABOUT THE STROLLER!!!! This is not an area to try and save money.
As a new mother with a baby going to the mall (or anywhere for that matter) has become such a pain….. the wheels don’t work properly when you walk let alone jog. Folding and opening it is an absolute nightmare. I can’t even think about going anywhere alone with my baby because I’m firstly too embarrassed with the way I have to fight with the wheels and secondly folding and opening it is the most difficult thing ever. Sometimes its temperamental and doesn’t want to fold down at all.

So THULE, I LOVE the fact the front wheel swivels so effortlessly and locks into place that you can jog with it. Even my husband will enjoy this, as currently he prefers the baby carry bag than taking our current stroller anywhere. Also I Love that the storing and transporting is so easy and light weight, because as a mom you are so vulnerable when loading in baby in the car seat and loading groceries into the car plus a stroller that is as sleek, compact and lightweight as this is definitely a must for ALL moms. And we know we as moms need easy – to – use EVERYTHING….

Thank you Jo-Ann and Thule for this opportunity and if I don’t make the cut – CONGRATS to whoever did win it…. Its a very special and AMAZING prize… 🙂

He is such a busy little boy and loves being out and about whether it’s walks on the promenade, power walking through malls to get shopping done and lazy walks around our neighborhood where he pops his head up to stare and coo at absolutely everything. His excitement with everything around him makes me so happy. I love that the pram is attractive but sturdy and light weight. I can manage it with ease on my own while still holding on to my little guy.
I know everyone would love to win this awesome prize but I’d be so happy if I was the lucky winner. Fingers crossed for me😄

I recently had a baby, she is beautiful and now 7 months old. During my pregnancy I gained a lot of weight, and I started running & walking, having this pram would make it much easier to take my little Mia with me, and also to be an example for her to be fit & healthy which I never had growing up. Should I win this I would regift my current pram to the Mother in need on your blog ⬆️

I would love to win this stroller…
It will just make life easier. My little doll is 9 months old and is exclusively breastfed. So she is very heavy to carry around. This stroller would be perfect for her daymother to use as the daymother is a fit 70 year old lady that loves doing her health walks and health check-up at the health facility. This stroller would be perfect as the daymother can do her walks comfortably with my little doll. The stroller is also easy to adjust, maneuver and to use…( we wouldn’t want an elderly lady to get hurt)

We are expecting our very first baby ,being a first time mum I’ve been researching frantically about the best products, brands ,methods, theories and everything else.

I’ve made up my mind about most product brands, but the stroller seems to be the most challenging decision.
I want what’s best for baby! Most comfortable ,practical and with the highest safety features available.
But I also want style and effortless elegance that fits into our lifestyle. The fact that it designed to be durable for an active and fast pace lifestyle fits in with with out vitality goals as a young family !
The Thule Urban Glide is all this is one seamless design. So well thought out and crafted to the best of its engineering ability !

I’m due in December 2017 & I’m ecstatic as I want the very best for my little one. My goal is to get back into shape as soon as I can & use this tool as my motivation. Running with my little bubu:)
What I love most about this pram is the design & the front wheel can swivel when you’re in busy areas. Large storage compartment & its water resistant which is a plus for overcast days. It has a fully reclining seat for when bubu wants to nap, also has a transparent roof. Easy to assemble & fold away & lastly it has a 5 point safety harness for bubu’s safety.
Good luck to everyone that entered 🙂

I still consider myself to be a new mom-my son is 1.5 years old and being new to motherhood I feel like I’m always having to sacrifice time with my son vs keeping fit. There’s some serious guilt that goes along with the feeling of wanting to go run and feeling like I’ve abandoned my kid! So most weekends I go run and leave my son with my husband or my mom. In eyes this stroller so often thinking that this would be the ideal answer to all my problems, I’d have a stroller that can accommodate my kid while I get to do what I love and the biggest bonus is that my husband and I can start running together again. The question is how do I get this this stroller! Well your blog post might just be my answer. When researching these strollers I found that parents that used the Thule Urban Glide were exceptionally happy with the comfort and quality, the support it provides while running and the sense of safety you have knowing that your kid is protected while you are running are priceless.i have seen so many parents run with prams that aren’t built for running and I had the perception that even running strollers are going to be as uncomfortable. Therefore I was really glad when I read reviews on the Thule Urban Glide, it addressed all the concerns I have as a parent about the safety and comfort of my child. even the name of the stroller reminds of a running shoe-its basically a massive running shoe for my kid 🙂 the swivel front wheel would make it easy to choose a route for running without being too limiting and the storage compartment will really help me with all the things I usually carry around in my faithful nappy bag,not to mention the water I need for my run!sooo without babbling too much-I love this stroller -I want this stroller and most of all I want to continue being a fit mom without feeling like a bad mom(don’t we all!) thanks for the great competition,

Being 38 weeks pregnant and having gained what feels like gizilion kg,at the same time having a two year old wanting all my attention. This stroller would be dream come true for this coastal living mommy. I wouldn’t have to spend time away in gym but could actually spend time with my big boy and baby girl while losing the weight!! The features are very impressive, besides it being a sports stroller I love the fact that it has an easy large storage compartment a water resistant cover and canopy with view in roof top so in can see baby! Hoping!!

My first child was a breeze… I could sit her down on a blanket with toys and she would play away happily while I juggled all the house “to-do’s” and work.

My second, who is now 15 months old, is not. She is always grabbing, pulling, waddling, looking, crying or laughing and my only sanctity is our brisk and amazzzzzing afternoon walks that  keep her occupied & quiet… and me fit. A Thule Urban Glide will be a very welcome guest in our home… 😍making those walks even easier and more enjoyable (and perhaps more frequent).

Both the suspension and hand brake features will be a God-send on our self-proclaimed potholed 4×4 roads in Hilton 😉 and of course the fact that it is lightweight just speaks volumes to the amount of times I can take her out  (and stay sane and fit) without schlepping our current heavy & impractical pram around.

An incredible product that will bring much joy (and peace) to not only myself but our whole household 🙂

I am currently 11 weeks pregnant and plan to keep exercising throughout my pregnancy. I would love one of these incredible strollers because I will be able to take baby with on Saturday park runs and keep on staying fit with my new born. I love the fact that the handlebar offers multi-positioning for each individual’s comfort and that the design is lighweight. What an awesome promotion, thank you 😊 I’ve been a runner all my life and with my first pregnancy gave it up with morning sickness and only picked it up about a year after my daughter was born. I’m now 10 weeks pregnant with no 2 and fighting a level of nausea that I never imagined possible, but I’m fighting through and running because I’m motivated to do it better this pregnancy and stay fit (and hopefully gain less weight). So I’m slogging out my 8km runs, albeit at a slower pace. I aim to continue running until my tummy absolutely stops me and then as soon as possible after baby is born. With my eldest now 4 years old, the Thule pram is the perfect accessory to my speedy daughter on her scooter while mom runs her buns off. I love the height alteration option as I’m tall and I also love that there is ample space to lengthen your strides. The spacious storage compartment with its waterproof cover is an absolute bonus as with kids, you always (!) have stuff. Thanks Jo and Thule for this stunning promo 😘

    From Comrades to walking 5km.

I’m 30 weeks pregnant and have had to scale down my activities from training for comrades as I have done for the last four years to walking 5km at a time.

As time is drawing close, I can’t wait to meet our little princess, and would feel so much more at ease and content knowing that I would have my dream stroller. I’ve done all the research know without a doubt that the Thule Urban Glide will be the perfect vehicle to help me get back into shape, help me be able to start running again while allowing me to share my love and passion for running with my daughter. This stroller has been on my bucket list since I found out I was pregnant. I love the light design and ease of folding and opening it up. The cherry on the cake is that I can fit any universal car seat on it, which means we can go waking/running as soon as possible.

At this years Two Oceans Marathon expo the guys from Thule was very helpful and if I had any about the capabilities and functionalities of the glide, it was safely put to rest.

I’m crossing all my fingers and toes hoping that that my little girl and I win.

I would absolutely love to win the Thule stroller as I have two toddlers aged 3 and 4 years and have a baby due in July. Both boys (third is a boy as well) so my days are quite busy. I would love to be more active, loose all the baby weight and get my health back on track however it’s already very challenging going out with two toddlers and a heavy pram which I often struggle to close and lift so I always end up canning it. Would love something i could use that is lightweight and easy to open and close as my hands are ALWAYS full. It would definately be a plus that it’s perfect for an active lifestyle. This pram sounds amazing and would make my life so so much easier ❤❤❤

I have been drewling over the the Thule Urben Glide for 2 months already. It seems like the perfect stroller. I have tested it out at kids living and at sportsmans.
Not only does it seem to gluide easy when walking/running with it, it seems to have all the right attachments.
One of things I love about it, is that you only need one stroller not 3 different ones. The attachments for the car seat and the bassinet are brilliant. This gives you a chance to stay active from day one of baby on board:)

This stroller is the solution to what I was looking for. I have had a difficult time trying to choose a stroller especially being a first time mummy. I went to the mamamagic baby expo and my head spun just trying to choose the best suitable stroller to fulfill both my baby’s as well as my needs. Then I came across this Thule stroller giveaway and my heart felt at ease. This was the solution to my confusion. Everything that I desired in my first baby’s stroller is found in the Thule stroller. The look captured my eye, it’s a gorgeous stroller and I love nice looking things. Plus it’s safe and comfortable with a lot of storage space. It’s light and the size is perfect. The features are brilliant as if the designer was reading my mind when making this amazing product. I am very active so it thrills me to know that there is such an amazing product out there that caters to my every need. This is a dream come true. When I win this incredible product I will make sure that every mum out there knows how amazing the Thule stroller is because just by reading the specs I am sold. My little baby girl will be the luckiest girl cruising around in a Thule stroller. I cannot begin to express my excitement of knowing that the exact product that I need is in the market. Thank you Thule. You have answered my prayers. I have full trust in your stroller. Super stoked…

However we are now considering it as my 6 year is very lonely. My son who passed was Elijah and we bought him the best in baby products and strollers etc. But we gave everything away after we lost him. This stroller will be perfect for our next child. And i know that by faith we will have a healthy, perfect child soon. This stroller will be the first of the best that my child will receive.

My husband and I live with our two legend dudes (22 months and 8 months old) in an apartment block and being boys, they can really bounce off the walls when they aren’t stimulated enough. And I can’t help but notice how much they transform when there out and about in nature! It’s like theyre different kids! So we make an effort to get out the house daily for their sake and my sanity! And a sturdy stroller that can accommodate a more heavy terrain would be PERFECT!! It’s a big thing I look at within the realm of strollers. Literally can’t wait to start doing park runs with them in that thing!! Come ON! Think I might even have to do a Rock Paper Scissors game with my husband to see who’ll be pushing it! 😂👌🏻 X

I would love to win this as my husband and I used to go for a jog together daily. After our baby girl was born we haven’t been able to do so as the stroller we bought second hand isn’t suitable. We enjoy keeping fit together and being out and about taking walks in our area.. it was part of our stress release. I would love to get back into being fit and it would help a lot with treating my pnd and anxiety. The fact that baby can take a nap while we jogging would give us also a little bit of us time to just reconnect.

Oh boy it would be a dream come true to win this amazing stroller! It’s hard to say which features are better than one another, but will put in order of important to me:
Having a 4 year old and 9 months old, needless it is to say that the big win features of this stroller is the ease of manoeuvre, and being able to collapse using one hand. (Due to baby in the other, and toes pinching the toddler’s tee so he doesn’t run away)

Being not so tall, the handlebar offering different heights is the second best feature. All strollers we’ve had end up giving me a back and arms pain because the height is wrong and make me feel like a midget. .

And the last 2 features are
    – the zoom zoom to it, which will 200% chance put my son(s) to sleep real quick, whilst i get to run n admire the promenade view of sea point in Cape Town
    – the reclining positions option, so I can leave him to nap whilst I enjoy a rest and the ocean view!

    Crossing fingers and toes!

I have two beautiful children who I love with all my heart and we do everything together. They have changed my life for the better. I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis and Fybromylagia when I was 16. This causes me so much pain. Before the birth of my kiddies I was practically bed ridden. However having a child just made me push myself to start getting stronger and more active. They are my inspirations to be healthy and fit so that I can be the best Mom for them. I now run around with my kiddies, roll around on the grass with them, give piggy back rides. i try and be an example to my kiddies that we need to look after our bodies and be healthy. After all I owe it to them as they changed my life. Having a Thule pram would be an absolute dream for me. A lightweight pram that I could continue to keep fit and healthy while being with my kiddies would be amazing. A pram that is easy to push, easy to maneuver would put less strain on my arthritic joints. I truly believe in being an outdoor mom and experiencing nature with my children, so having a pram like this would be so beneficial to my children’s lives as well, as they will be outside and not in front of a tv(not that I let them watch). They will be in fresh air and seeing their mom and dad being active will create an image in their minds that being active is the norm. Something I think it is so important to teach our kiddies.

The fact that the front wheel can go from swivel to lock is a plus too as it will encourage me to take my princess hogging. Hi, I am a first time mommy-to-be, expecting my first bundle of joy in.October. Myself and hubby is very active and adventurous and thus as first time parents our list for Baby Fourie ( as per our memo posts) started with a jogger. I am someone that does extensive research prior to buying anything of value believing in “buying right the first time” and also a firm believer in “goedkoop koop is duur koop” ( pardon for the afrikaans, it just has a better ring to it). My husband on the other hand is an accountant and those who are married.to.accountants, you know what I am trying to say, for those unfamiliar with the mind set I have to deal with…… my hubby needs to have evidence, pros and cons, comparisons, you name it to motivate the expense of even having a stroĺler. Long story short my first google attempt at which stroller will clasify as a jogger and be able to adapt to our acfive lifestyle, immediately led me to a few articles ranging from Runners World, momsliving and alot of overseas blogs. It was clear that in South Africa we only had a list of 2-3, of which the Thule Urban Glide was offcourse number one. My plan ( being realistic or not, I have no idea as this is my first born) is that I would like my bundle of joy to be part of every aspect of what we enjoy and great passion for in life, you see we take part in the Comrades marathon every year and is aiming at getting our green numbers ( meaning 10successfully completed comrades). I envisioned doing our training runs with our baby, going on the weekly trial runs with our little one, taking our baby with to our three weekly walks in the fields or at Magic Forest/Silvermine with our entire furry friends family (I have four rescue dogs, whom I love to bits). In doing all of this.Thule just made sense, features such as the airinflatable wheels(that can be lined with glue to prevent punctures) that has a perfect size for any terrian to.move with ease, easy accessible pockets (for your essentials for baby and yourself), protection for baby with the hood covering all of baby and add-on for all weather protection ( also you can open the top section to look at baby without exposing them to the elements), the seat size and weight range of the jogger is the best on the market ( seat is bigger in width and length and up to 34kg weight for a fast growing child) , the fact that you have an option to interchange between jogging with the stroller or just using it in the shopping mall simply but turning a knob( the front wheel will either fix into a front facing position unable to turn which is essential for running or is open and can turn to enable you easy manoeuvrability for mall use) and lastly the two components whom won over my husband, the light weight of the product 10,5kg in comparison to all the other weighing in at 16,8kg etc. This was a deal breaker as I am a runner and do not spend alot of time in gym on arm strenght( I heard this changes when little one is here, and that any mom can easily pick up 20kg without struggle), I will need to put the stroller into the car by myself! Lastly we tested each jogger by putting my handbag and a other products instore into the seat and physically running with it, the Thule is stable, no tip hazard and even with you pushing down on it, it never once folded or tipped to the one side. So it was a no brainer, luckily for me I took hubby to the Thule shop prior to any other and we thus started with this high standard to start off with ( as any accountants wife would know, I was almost there in proving that the Thule warrant the expense), as you know the other joggers (the few available in SA) just did not compare and pricing was really not that different ( Lol R1000-2000 difference, it took alot of comparison and motivation for hubby to get over that fact).
We will be starting our essential list purchasing in July and the Thule Urban Glide is definetly on the list! We would be over the moon if we were so blessed to win one! Definetly the best product on the market. Baby Fourie (we do not know the gender and prefer to wait untill birth thus the lack of a name) would love one to from the beginning be apart of this great adventure calles life with mommy and daddy!
    Will be holding thumbs!

Unfortunately it has been out of our budget but it doesn’t stop me from dreaming about it every time I see a pic of one pop up somewhere 😃 As a first time mom to be you are in search of the best that is out there and his pram, for us is really the best. It’s gorgeous but also so practical and looks so comfortable. I love the fact that the front wheel can swivel and that it has good storage space. It’s perfect for our active lifestyle and most importantly it would ensure that our precious cargo is transported comfortably.

I’ve got a 13 month old and a 3 week old baby, both boys. We live on a farm and needless to say we love the outdoors and this would be the perfect stroller to get out and about, some fresh air and view the beautiful surroundings with my boys! With less time on hand, this stroller also offers that very much needed “me time” whilst keeping baby happy and comfotable at the same time. WOW,this would be ideal!I cant wait to hit the gravel road and get my body back in shape after childbirth(2 babies in 2 years). With a baby on the hip,it’s lightweight, easy foldable, have a nice storage compartment to fit perfectly in any modern mommy’s life. I absolutely love all the great features of this perfect stroller and would love to win this to encourage me to keep healthy and fit and be the best mommy for my boys. I would surely recommend it to all my friends.Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!

My husband and I are known for doing EVERYTHING together! But since we had our baby boy, which is now 8 months old, it changed slightly. We like to be active, always walking, hiking, running. Parkrun was our Saturday ritual, but haven’t done it once since the baby is here. We parkrun at Stellenbosch, which is quite a rough terrain and not do able unless you have the correct pram. In the beginning, we used to make turns to run in the evening, but that didn’t last long as we can’t do it together. My boy also enjoy the outdoors a lot, so I think this Thule Glide will make all of our lives much enjoyable!

I’ve used my pram every single day since my baby girl was born 16 months ago, I reckon I may have been doing a little too much “off roading” in it as both the front wheels snapped off! Thule is known for their rugged gear that can take a bit of pressure. I also like that the handlebars are adjustable as I’m not the tallest mom in the world. Flip I’d love to win this pram so my baby girl and I can get outside again! Chloe X

Being a busy mom of three means that exercise these days are basically running around the house making sure my youngest isn’t swallowing something he shouldn’t 🙈 I’ve always been an avid runner as it’s something you can basically do anywhere and anytime, but even that has its limits when your husband commutes to Johannesburg for work and your have three kiddos to deal with..

But how easy would it be when using this stroller! Imagine this: Big brother and sister on their bikes with baby brother safely fastened in the stroller and off we go! Not only would I be able to train for that two oceans marathon I’ve always wanted to do, but also give me the opportunity to get my kids outside and active at the same time! Making me a better mom in the process, win-win!!

Hi! First and foremost safety is my top requirement. The fact that its lightweight and simple is very important to me as I’ve been struggling with a bulky prom from my first child. Ten years on and baby number 4 could use a new more functional stroller. The rest of the features are a bonus. We would really appreciate It.

    Hey Jo-Ann! xx
We’re planning on having a baby in the near future and being a first time mom is stressful enough. Not to mention the hundreds of things we need to purchase in preparation for welcoming baby into the world. I have been a fitness freak majority of my life and I want to keep at it during and after birth. Besides wanting to lose the extra KG’s gained and getting back to my normal weight (or close enough) I want to be fit for myself and for my family. This stroller will allow us to experience the outdoors together. While mommy goes for a jog baby will be right there with me. We can bond, take it the fresh air and great views. I also want my baby to have the best, and be comfortable, I doubt I will ever be able to buy such luxury for my little one. I just want to be the best mom possible and be fit so I can run after baby and take care of the household and family. xx

My husband and I are currently expecting our first child after nine years of marriage. We have been trying for several years with numerous fertility treatments with no joy. Until one day we just said bugger this lets enjoy life. I had begun yoga and parkruns and lost 18kg in 1 and a half years. After my 31st birthday we found out we were expecting it was such a surprise and also unbelievable. It was shard to think after all the years of trying it would happen out of the blue. But it did and we are in our second trimester now. What i love about this stroller is that it will help me get back into shape once baby is here (as i have already put on some kilos that i lost a while ago). Particularly due to it being a sleek and lightweight stroller makes it the perfect choice for walking and running. Walking being the operative word as thats exactly how i lost weight initialy. 😁

My husband, is diabetic and has run 14 Comrades marathons. I started running with him after he suffered from a pulmonary embolism and low blood pressure, to relieve my own stress and anxiety of not knowing how he is doing, what his sugar is and to ensure that he is safe and healthy on the road. I could never ask him to give up what he loves most due to my own fears and so my only option was to join him. I am pregnant with our first child, due in August, and this amazing pram would allow us to run and train together, or even allow for some father – baby time on the road while mum relaxes.

Being a to-be-Mom the first time you really look at ALL I mean ALL the possible options that will be the best quality, design and most practical to make life with your new bundle of joy easier. We are great fans of Thule because we use the bike rack that works like a breeze and therefor we considered Thule Glide, because we know it is quality and durabillity and if falls into many yes-points for a stroller. Me being a jogger,I feel there is now greater privilege than to be able to put on your running shoes and use all your senses to experience the break of a new day. Therefor I would love to have a Thule Glide because being out on a farm I would want to make my little one part of that experience and incorporating healthy living from early in his life. Thule Glide would be ideal and tops the rest it the big wheels and suspension it will defenitly help on the gravel road, the one hand fold-up feature will also help me a lot we I do not have an extra hand to help and the design and durability will probably last not only for our first child but for the rest to come.
Thank you for giving us the chance to win such a great product and for making moms lives easier.

    Kind Regards

Why we would love to win this amazing prize: we have a jogger for our 15 month old, for daddy, now mommy needs one for the 3 month old baba – so we can go jogging together, which would be absolutely awesome as we both need to get fit again asap ☺️ Features I love: That swivel front wheel that can lock is a MUST have with a jogger pram, another great feature are those shocks, baby sits in the pram comfortably while you go off road!

My o my there are so many reasons I can give why I would love the Thule Urban Glide.

I am a stay at home mom to a beautiful two and a half year old little girl named Mieke and I’m due with her little brother, Evan in just 4weeks.

I have PCOS that I was diagnosed with at the age of 16 and since then I have been extremely passionate about keeping healthy and exercising as often as I can. Even though I maintained a healthy lifestyle and exercise regime I still struggled to fall pregnant and had to go through fertility treatment to convince our princess.

I must admit that exercise was not a priority in my life for the last 3 years even though I envy all the mommies who go jogging with their babes on the promonade. Jogging and fun runs where my thing before I fell pregnant and I promissed myself this time around after Ithe birth of my son I will taken the time to enjoy that once again.

So winning the Thule urban would be a absolute dream come true! I love the fact that the front wheel can swivel making it easy to manoeuver. Also love the fact that I can run fast because of the kick ahead space the Thule has.

If I win I will definitely be confident in taking back my health and fitness in the most comfortable way while having my baba with me!

It’s perfect for my little boy! And I think the best part of this stroller is that it is light and easy to fold, which is a fantastic feature cause daddy’s strength is not always around to fold and pack the stroller in the car! 💕😃💕 Love Love Love this stroller!

I am currently 36 weeks pregnant with our fourth child. I have been pregnant 5 times in the 6 years we have been married, and with this being our last little one, I am ready to commit once again to getting my body back into its pre-baby shape. This amazing pram would go a huge way to helping me achieve that. The pram we have at the moment was bought 2nd hand, and has been through our other three, and therefore is not really up for too much strenuous use.
The Thule’s lightweight frame is definitely a major bonus feature for me. Picking up children constantly over the last six years has left my back a bit sensitive, and having a lighter pram would be great.
    Would really appreciate winning this!

For a while I have struggled with my weight and fitness post pregnancy (like so many of us do) and through the support and encouragement of my husband on Sunday I ran the Cape Town 12km in 1h26mins, finishing with him holding my hand and a smile on my face. Best of all we had our 2yo old son with us (who admittedly slept the whole way). As we become more active we are thoroughly enjoying doing things as a family – Park Run on Saturdays, mountain walking / hiking with dogs, looking for outdoor adventures together. But the flip side of this is realizing how desperately we need a proper jogging pram and how much we cannot afford it. Our poor Joië is doing its best best but it certainly wasn’t ideal on Sunday (or any of our runs for that matter) and if it breaks down we are in serious trouble. We love the Thule range because of its mobility and lightweight. Pushing your body across the finish line is difficult enough but to push a clunky pram with a toddler is something else. I know that by winning this Thule jogger it will give my hubby even more excuse to get my butt into gear and enjoy more outings together while we improve our lives, health and our son’s love of the outdoors. Fingers crossed it will be us!

before meconing a mommy, my husband and I used to take part in park run every week and luckily our route allowed us to stick to the road after baby #1 arrived, so we could carry on with a special family time. After only a few weeks the run organizers no longer allowed us to stay on the road and were made to go on an off road route, which out pram is definitely not designed for. We sadly had to stop our family tradition due to this 🙁. Now that baby #2 is here, I am desperate to get some exercise but can never get to gym (a logistical nightmare when you are caring for a baby). I would love to get a pram that can withstand the rugged off-road while still offering my baby the support that he needs. My husband would be extra grateful for the extendable handle!!! Winning this pram will make it so much easier for my family to spend some quality time together and teach our children the importance of an active, healthy lifestyle.

I have twin 9 month old boys and always dreamed of having the Thule Double jogging stroller. I really dont have time for gym and a quick jog would be ideal to stay fit. This would be perfect as we as a family could exercise together and partake in fun park runs. We bought something similar but the tyres are not great, it punctures so easily and therefore it restricts us from doing park runs. The Thule Double jogging pram’s wheels are so ideal for this. We are also limited with boot space and the way the Thule Double jogging pram is easy to put in our boot. Therefore it would be great if we could have one of these.

This is an awesome prize and how lucky we would be if we won it after the year we’ve had thus far. Our Baby is now a year and 5 months old and we discovered 3 months ago discovered that we pregnant again and the doctors suspected down syndrome and spina bifida and with the all the test that we’ve had up until now this would be a luxury we could not afford. Through the grace of God all the test proved that our little boy is 100% healthy other than a misplaced valve in his heart chamber which he can live with he is 100 healthy… Our pockets however not so much..Nonetheless the features of the Thule stroller is great, the brake feature is something I haven’t seen on other strollers which is awesome, the easy fold up , the recline feature for naps at anytime on the move and the easy access to peek on your little one whilst asleep through the view in roof. Having one would be great..

WELL, I’m currently pregos, after having a pretty traumatic mc last year April, with multiple surgeries to get my uterus ready for our precious rainbow baby. Hubby and I were finally given the go ahead to start trying again in January this year, after lots and lots of hormone treatment (which helped my belly grow even without the baby in it yet… joy) and we fell pregnant in Feb!!! We then had two threatened mc, leaving me on progesterone suppositories for 13 weeks – WHICH has also helped add the KGs…. SO the reason why I am dying for the THULE Urban Glide, is because once baba is here, I need to get my fit on, as this extra prego weight needs to go ASAP.. Also I’m a hoarder, so the large storage would help haha.

I would love to win this awesome stroller, after baby no 2, hubby and I reckoned we were done, so all of our baby items were donated or sold. Then last year September we found out we were expecting a little surprise. Unfortunately I miscarried in October. We then realized we would love another addition to the family. Now 8 weeks pregnant and needing to get all of the basics again, I would love this stroller so that I can get outdoors and do a little bonding with baby whilst the toddlers are at school. Miss the road, did my first 21km the week before I found out I was pregnant with my eldest. Love the hand brake feature of this pram, always manage to miss the step brakes!

So had my little girl in august last year and her big brother is turning 4 soon and this mommy is so tired of being tired and huge and not being able to join in fun activities or find nice clothes my size. It’s depressing and I sometimes feel unworthy of my wonderful little family, even though my husband loves me no matter what, I feel as if I’m letting them down. I have decided when weather allows it to start taking walks with my baby girl as much as possible and to try keep as active as I can. Now the struggle is I have exercise induced asthma so while I can’t run I can get a nice fast walk on if I pace myself and that is hard to do with a pram that is not meant for off road activity and half the time I lose concentration on my breathing because I’m fighting with her pram. I pray I win just as much as all these deserving mommies pray. Fingers crossed for a win as my kids need a healthy mommy..

A circus because my baby has to be on my waist all the time. I even find it challenging to go to church on this cold weather. Because when you dont have a stroller with three small babies, everyone stares at you like you are crazy.

My husband runs every day, and has always wanted Us to run as a family affair. However our current stroller, even though lightweight, it’s wheels can barely go over any sort of bump and the few times Myself and our daughter tried to accompany him , we always ended up lagging behind him and turning around early as it was such an uncomfy ride for our daughter and I kept getting the wheel stuck on any little bump. I see a whole new vision for our city park runs in Johannesburg with a Thule stroller.

We actually went online to kidsliving’s website the other day to look at various options and were very impressed by the quality of Thule wheels and what seemed like very comfortable seating solution. This stroller is definitely something which our whole family will enjoy and allow us more family time together and the best bit is I get to be a fit mama again 😀.

My 3 year old son has fallen into the promenade-cycling obsession. He loves spending early Saturday mornings cycling along (he has only just managed to cycle without training wheels) and hoping each time he sees a dolphin – no luck yet! He has a little sister on the way (being 7 months pregnant running after him on the promenade is not so great) and the stroller would be perfect for after school and weekend cycles when we are all together. I can lean on the stroller and push baby along, while daddy and little cyclist race along. The lightweight of the stroller is an absolute saving grace – when I am at home with the kiddies, I will be taking them out by myself. Wrangling an escape artist 3 year old and a newborn does not need to be made any more difficult with a heavy pram. Also, they big storage compartment is a must, as I can see myself having to carry at least one child while pushing the stroller, not having room for anything else!

Also, great excuse to get back to exercising!

I had a really active lifestyle before I was blessed with kids. Oldest is turning 3 and newest addition is almost 4 months. I use to go to the gym, climb lionshead every Thursday and did some fun/charity walks in between. As a full time working mom I put that love of exercise to the side because spending time with kids was more important after a full days work….although I missed it dearly. I missed the energy boost and the feeling great about yoursef part most. So I decided to start doing parkruns (3 years out the gym means I am currently walking these) It is not the most comfortable thing if you don’t have the appropriate stroller, so this would be fantastic to win. Getting fit, setting a healthy example and spending time with the kids at the same time would be bliss!

WOW firstly what an amazing give away, I am that mom who has sat on the promenade running after her toddler, admiring the gorgeous Thule strollers go past, me only wishing that I could own one myself.

I have always grown up as very active woman, at school I excelled in all sports, particularity running, as I can’t quite explain it but when you run, its like an instant cleansing of your mind, body and soul, When I fell Pregnant with Grace, I promised myself to always raise my children in a lifestyle where exercise was always visible for them to see as my self and my husband (who is equally as active) felt that this was very import for them to learn and see from a young age how exercise is an important part of their life. Well as it may be, you become a mom, and in some areas what you thought was achievable start to dwindle – I tried to run with Grace but trying to do so with 4 tiny stroller wheels was not exactly working as well as what I thought it would and with finances not affording us the opportunity to buy a proper running pram, my running has been put on hold for the time being.

If I had to win the Thule Pram, I can promise you that it would be put to good use, I would love to make running memories with my daughter Grace, for her to breathe in the fresh air as i do when you run and just feel that magical feeling of what running does to you and of course for her to know its not just daddy training for his first comrades who loves to run but mommy as well and who knows maybe at some point once mom gets back into her half marathons, comrades might be a goal that lies ahead , one thing for sure if I have the Thule Urban Glide by side I am sure that running will not remain a thing of the past.

What I love about the pram is firstly the sleek look of the entire pram, its smooth, gorgeous and it looks like it literally does glide as you run. The weight capacity is amazing being at 34kg, I can literally use this pram for as long as i need to whether it be for family forest strolls, long runs on the road or the regular mommy shop runs I can literally use it till my daughter is won’t allow me to push her in a pram anymore – I think when looking for a pram on the top of your list is usability and longevity and the Thule Urban Glide ticks these boxes in all shapes on forms!

So here’s to crossing toes, and holding thumbs, I am ready to take the Thule Urban Glider for a run!!!

As a mom to my gorgeous little girl, I hate doing anything without her. I love doing parkruns and I entered the totalsports ladies race 9 August and a super hero race on Sunday, and with all these she has to either sit in her stroller or in my tank of a pram, which is big and lumpy and not made for running at all. I would love to have a proper running pram where my little girl can be safe and I can run and we get to spend some quality time together while I teach her about fitness from an early age. After all, she was 6 weeks when we started our walks in her wrap together.

Brilliant brand, and I love that the jogger is so lightweight – you don’t get joggers this sturdy AND easily portable. So it couples as a regular pram too. Why do we need a Thule jogger? I had gestational diabetes with both my pregnancies despite a pre-pregnancy weight of 46kg. That puts me, and my kids, at increased risk of type 2 diabetes. So we need to get active! Thule jogger would be ideal for jogs around the block on a daily basis. ✨

🏕🏖🏜🏝⛱🏞Owning a Thule stroller would mean everything to me!!!With a little 3 year old and 6 month old baby, my self confidence took a major blow as the weight piled on to the point where i find excuses not to attend social events. Ive realised that no amount of makeup or fashionable clothing will ever make me feel confident again. Going from pencil skirts to track pants…this is my rock bottom, i need to take charge and be that change! Owning a Thule would mean i get put my plan of running into action and taking care of myself for my own health but also to encourage my kids to develop healthy habits. Because Thule to me is a lifestyle, not just a stroller. What i love about this stroller is its practicality as an outdoor stroller, the storage (having a baby and toddler means lots of baggage, so i can ditch the baby bag) and its ability to stretch out flat ( so my baby gets to take his naps while i take care of me, no excuses). These are on top of my list when choosing a stroller!! My new outlook on life is making choices based on a healthy, clean lifestyle and that to me is what this brand represents. Extra bonus: my son gets so much of his sister’s hand me downs, this stroller would be something to call his own. Fingers and toes crossed!🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

I would love to win the Thule glide for my brother. He has a little girl who is 10 months and he has another one on her way.
He used to spend most of his free time cycling, but because that takes up too much time from his family, he has had to start running in order to keep fit! They are DYING for a good quality stroller so that he can take his little one along on his runs and give mom some free time before the new arrival arrives!!! 🤗🤗

I am a runner and will always be a runner… Running is my drug, my relaxation, my me time and my lifestyle. I’ve done 7 times the Comrades marathon, but medal 8, 9 and 10 were 3 kids. We had 3 kids in 4 years, which distract me a bit from running long distance. But I am planning a comeback… just need to get back on the road and get my real green number by completing 10 Comrades marathon. The only way I will have time to train will be with a child in a stroller. I would really LOVE to win this ultra light and safe stroller to hit the road again for the Ultimate Human race… the 90km road between Pietermaritzburg and Durban. How awesome will it be to share my active lifestyle with my kids! Please consider me😉

This has come at such a great time for me as I have only in the last month had enough time and energy to start concentrating on my body again after having my son a year ago. Carrying my son during pregnancy put such strain on my body both weight and joint wise and I was left with a body that I couldn’t even recognize as my own after being a competitive swimmer for 13 years. So soon after having Dylan and settling him in some sort of a routine I took to training again but soon realized my milk was drying up due to the training and was advised to start eglynol as I wanted to carry on feeding my child. But all that did was give me a massive appetite to keep my milk coming in and therefore I am carrying a lot more weight than I should be that I am now so desperate to get rid of.
This would be a great pram for me as Dylan LOVES the outdoors and it would make my trail walking/running so much easier as I am always the one to say I’ll stay behind and look after Dylan. This pram leaves me with no option than to go with as it has such fantastic features that compliment the outdoors so well.
What I would look for in a stroller would be if it’s light enough for me to handle on my own, as that is another excuse you will often hear from me, ‘I can’t do it because Wesley (my husband) isn’t there to help me’
The Thule is lightweight enough for me to handle.
I also love the multi position canopy especially for Durban weather as my Dylan has such beautiful virgin skin that I would hate to see damaged.
So all in all NO MORE EXCUSES with Thule!!

Im not going to sell myself as a mom who is super active or make up some story about how busy my little on is because as moms we all know that our LO’s are busy especially when they exploring their new found world and abilty to crawl or walk…however I need this Thule Stroller not because im active but because the pram im currently using for my 11mnth old is the most horrible pram ever, a nightmare more like it to any mom needing to go for a walk or to run errands with limited timed because you have a 2yo who is nagging and niggling and trying to run away from you and at the same time the 11month old is crying and trying to jump out a pram which firsly doesnt strap properly because the adjustment straps is a bad as the goverment running this country, the wheels decide at their own time that while running after a 2yo and pushing a pram is the right time to come to a complete hault and turn themselves inward like a deformed alien…my baby doesnt need this pram MOMMY NEEDS THIS PRAM.

We have been oogling over the Thule jogger pram for years. It is versatile, lightweight and perfect for jogging or walking on the promenade as a family. We love taking long walks and using a regular pram is not ideal but we make it work! We have just had our second child and just can’t afford such a splurge. It would be so wonderful to win and fulfill our dream of having this jogger pram ❤️

We would absolutely love to win this pram, as daddy has misplaced baby’s pram. His response after I asked him if he has seen her pram, ” I don’t know where it is, they must have stolen it outa my van”😯. This has resulted in the disruption of our weekly Sunday fun day walk from Muizenberg surfer’s corner to Kalk Bay harbour with the rest of the mom’s and prams, also putting our attempt to get fit on hold. Really hope we stand a chance of winning this beaut. 😆

My husband and I found out we where pregnant during November last year, a mere 3 months before our wedding day.

With all the wedding expenses which had to be paid, there has not been much of a budget for our little one. Needless to say, this would be an amazing prize to win both for our boy as well as a nice way for mommy dearest to get back in shape.

I love the fact that this stroller is lightweight and easy to use, in that it uses one hand to collapse. It is also super convenient that it folds into a compact position which one can store with ease in either the home or car..since we do have limited space.

This is one super amazing prize for any mom or mom to be to win, and I wish everyone the best of luck.

The THULE URBAN GLIDE is such an awesome product. We are expecting our first baby in August and love to take our dog for afternoon walks and even sunday walks at the promenade, but because my husband is a diabetic with kidney problems we desided not to spend money on a stroller and rather use a wrap we got from a friend to save costs, so this Thule stroller will be such an amazing prize to win. I love the fact that it’s light weight and suitable for all the terrains and Thule makes extremely durable products.

I have always been someone who enjoys running and therefore require a lightweight stroller designed for this purpose. As a working Mommy, running let’s me unwind and feel good about myself. Before I got pregnant, I was running frequently and reached a level of fitness I was really happy with. Running is something I really enjoy but now I’m a working Mommy, any time I’m away from my baby, Felix, I feel a little guilty, even though I know time to myself is important too. With the Thule stroller, I could take Felix with me and share the outdoors and fresh air with him, knowing he’s comfortable and safe, while the adjustable handle and hand brake keep me comfortable and safe.

Where do I start? Being a full time trainee accountant, part-time student, mom of a 1 year old, trying to be the best housewive, making time to spend with my husband, there is no time for relaxation. Not even mentioning quality bonding time for the 3 of us. My husband started doing parkruns over the weekend, but our pram as soon as I try to jog with it, the front wheel rattles vigorously. Needless to say no jogging can be done with it.
I would appreciate the pram and by winning, I can bless someone else who is in need of a stroller that doesn’t need it for jogging.

I’m a #boymom of 2… aged 6months and 6years. I’ve just started my first job after 4 years of studying. I was a fitness bunny after my 1st baby and he would run with me everyday in every fun run or just a lap around the block. But now that I have our new baby it’s not so easy. His huge. So I don’t have much control with his stroller. I tried going without them but it was just not the same and worrying if they okay with dad stressed me out so I ended up stopping. Now I’m a blob again and desperately want to get back into it. This stroller is perfect. And if I could afford it id buy one tomorrow. Please bless my boys and I with this amazing gift. Id have very happy boys and be a very happy mommy while jogging with my boys ❤❤❤

    Hello Mommy’s !

Our pregnancy journey has been one that we will never forget. I can clearly remember the day we received the amazing news! This is our first one, so you can imagine the level of excitement of friends and family alike.

From prenatal classes to hospital tours – we’ve done it all! From tough mornings and painful nights, to funny changes and first kicks, it has truly been life changing so far.

We attended the baby expo last week, and was simply amazed at all the goodies on display. Our main reason for the visit was to look at potential prams*, and what an experience it turned out to be!

*I was quickly corrected by fellow soon-to-be parents – the new lingo is “strollers” or “travel systems”

Many pulls and pushes later, no decision was made. However, one stood out. By far the most practical and sturdy of the lot – the Thule Urban Glide. As we already received a compatible car seat as a gift, we thought that we were already halfway there….unfortunately this was a bit out of our financial reach (business opportunity: stroller finance!). I even considered (still am!) to import something!

So here I am, lying in bed next to my 36-weeks-pregnant-soon-to-be-mommy, trying hopelessly to convince her that we will eventually get a stroller in time, while wishfully writing our story on a mommy blog after with fingers crossed!

    May the best mother win!

    Sincerely,

    Dad-to-be

I’ve had my eye on The Urban Glide Stroller for a while now and want to start jogging as soon as I am back on my feet after the baby is born. Running is something that my husband and I do together to stay fit so if we can continue running together, and be able to take our baby along instead of having to drop him off or one of us having to sit at home, it will be absolutely fantastic and a blessing! The Stroller is very light weight and is perfect for running, even trail running. It is definitely the only Stroller that I would trust for the purpose of running – the main reason that I really want one. I’ve seen a lady do a Parkrun with one of the Strollers and she was running a good time! It’s the real thing and I would appreciate winning this amazing prize so that I can live out this small dream for my family!

Oh what a fabulous giveaway, I fell in love with these at the mama magic baby expo and then again at the mini argus cycle tour. Our second little girl is arriving on Friday and it would be amazing to have one of these. I simply adore how smooth the movement is of the Thule Urban Glide stroller, my current stroller is difficult to push with one hand and this one is so steady. The large storage space is a huge bonus as I often take a walk up to the store and then have hardly any room for a bag of groceries. Thule have really done an amazing job of making a great urban/active stroller with this model, this stroller would definitely make keeping up my fitness regiment and because it’s such a smooth and steady stroller even Mika (Furchild) could come along as I wouldn’t have to worry about wheels getting stuck or having to have both hands on the stroller at all times. Please pick me to win this fabulous, beautifully designed, superbly functional stroller from Thule, it would really make getting back into my daily walking/jogging routine an absolute pleasure.
Thank you Modern mommy blog and Thule, I am sure that whoever is blessed with this prize will find that it is truly a one of a kind stroller with killer features!!!

Getting fit and losing weight after Alexander’s birth has been my goal for 9 months now. Needless to say, I failed miserably. Not because I sit on the couch and eat Krispy Kream doughnuts for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but because I don’t get time after work to go to the gym as I have to pick up my baby. The perfect stroller for our miracle baby!! We were told after 3 years that there is no possible way that we could conceive naturally-3 days later I was already pregnant, Our Miracle!

We are a very active family, with me being a previous ballet dancer & my hubby having done triathlons. But unfortunately life & the chaos of modern living consumes our ability it juggle everything (having a beautiful 11 year old already) & something has to give. With an amazing stroller like this – it will give us the opportunity to go out and stay active not just as a family but individually too. I am a Nursing Sister therefore this Stroller will enable my hubby to train when I am working long hours & for myself to train during my much needed off time.

I love that it is Lightweight, easy to handle & height adjustable as I am a very short mommy;)

I MADE A GOOD CHOICE: I have never been very focused on my own fitness and while I was pregnant with my two children I did no exersize. At the end of last year I realised I needed to take some time to look after my own health and so I started Run Walk for Life and now walk 3 times a week usually… I never thought I could even do a 2km walk and now I’m doing three 5km a week! Now I’m PREGNANT with number 3 (!!!) and I’m determined to keep fit and healthy during and after this pregnancy. This amazing Thule pram would be such a help in this regard… I like that you can adjust the handle bars to suit your height and running/walking style and that their is a clever breaking system that also works from the handlebar.
I don’t know that I’ll ever be one of those super fit mamas on the promenade but I’m really excited that I’ve been able to prioritise some time to look after me a bit!

We love every moment with our kids and each face poses it’s challenges. My husband is a hands on daddy and helps a lot. Exercise unfortunately has been the last thing on our minds the last few years and it shows 😢 Would love this stroller so we can focus on getting into an active lifestyle again. The boys love to cycle but our stroller has small wheels and is too slow to keep up. Think the bigger wheels and the lightweight of the frame will make it easier to join/start up our active lifestyle.

That walk is the only thing that keeps me sane and my daughter loves being in and pram. I am battling to start running As the pram I have isn’t secure enough to run with and seems very unstable. I love how this pram glides along surfaces and the swivel action the front wheel has. It also looks really light and easy to push. I love the versatility of the stroller, that it is height adjustable so my fiancé or I can easily use it and baby will be comfortable.

I am a first time mom to a 5 week old boy and I’m itching to get back into shape and unfortunately going back to the gym is not an option for me unfortunately. The THULE Urban Glider will be the perfect stroller for attending Park Runs on a Saturday as well as a daily morning jog with my bubs.

The extended multi-positioned and comfortably shaped handlebar is perfect for a 1,84m tall mommy like me as handle height proves to be quite a problem and discomfort.

The hand-activated front brake system will also provide piece of mind when out for a jog on unpredictable terrain.

The THULE Glider would be an awesome addition to our little family and we will all get many happy miles from it if we were to win!

We run a lot of races but don’t have a running pram, we’ve been using our normal pram.
Which isn’t a great idea to use.

That amazing feeling of finding out your expecting, that incredible feeling of it being your first little one, that unmistakable thrill to find out it’s a little girl, that wonderful sensation of knowing that you hold life… my husband (Warren) and I got married in 2016, after dating for 8 years, and shortly after… found out that we are expecting our first child. A child we’ve prayed for, and want to give the world. With life being as unpredictable and short as it is, we have made a pact to try our utmost to raise our daughter to have the right morals and respect for other, while being confident, strong and know her self-worth.

We have just reached the 37 week mark. The only thing we have not been able to purchase (that we know about) has been a stroller, something we both agree should be safe, versatile, tough, comfy and stylish, values we think all little princesses should have. Warrens biggest concern though is that the stroller has three wheels and can fold up easily (so this competition fits in perfectly in our “bigger plan”).

We are sort of an outdoor, car crazy pair, hobbies we hope our little girl will pick up too.
The THULE Urban Glide will be perfect for us. I can get into shape after her arrival while ensuring my baby girl is comfortable. I love that there is a hand-activated front brake and that the rear suspension makes the ride smooth, as well as a front wheel that swivels. This coupled with the fact that its easy-to-use and transport, who can ask for better?

Please pick us as winners of this amazing prize, it will give us the opportunity to enjoy the Cape Town scenery and the great outdoors and let’s face it, what better way to do that than in a THULE Urban Glide.

    Fingers crossed xoxox

I would love this stroller. I am an avid runner, both road and trails. I just had my first child and cannot wait until I can get back out on the road to run again. There are so many events I have on my racing calendar that this stroller would be the perfect addition to my running gear. It sounds like the perfectly engineered piece of equipment. Lightweight, easy to use and very stylish. Just what I would want in a running stroller.

The Thule Stroller is definitely the ultimate stroller and was the one that my husband fell in love with first, while we were researching which one to get. Unfortunately the price was out of our reach and we are currently using another make that we got handed down from a friend. We have a 6 month old daughter and she thoroughly enjoys getting out and about as much as possible. Making the decision to not go back to work and spend all my time with our little Adaline allows me to explore Cape Town on a daily basis. Most of the time she’s in my carrier as our current stroller is just too heavy and not suitable for all the terrain Cape Town has to offer. Therefore the Thule UrbanGlide would be a dream come true as it’s light weight and easy to maneuver. It also fits the maxi cosi car seat! The extended multi position handlebars are also fantastic as my husband enjoys pushing the stroller and it would make it that much more comfortable. I catch him admiring other’s Thule strollers every time we pass them on our walks.
Having the option to jog with the Thule Urban Glide is also a fantastic perk as it would give me every reason to stay fit and jog on the promenade and most importantly make the whole experience comfortable and exciting for our daughter for years to come.

Just like you, I’ve known Thule products, to be on vehicle roofs and to carry our equipment safely.
Our baby story is a lot different than the norm.
We will be instant parents the moment we receive a phone call.
We are in the process of adoption and might I add, this is not an easy process, as the decisions that must be taken are so complicated and intense. This is quite a journey and although adoption is one word, it comes with heartache and joy that no one knows, all behind the scenes. Totally worth writing a book about!!
In short, we will only know when we are having a baby, 1 month in advance (which is stiff thought, compared to the 9 months preparation) , which means that we must be ready ALREADY.
It costs quite a lot to setup an entire baby-world in a few weeks, taking into consideration that you still want the safest and best quality products for your baby.
We have one month to buy, read, research and gain all the knowledge to be the best parents for our little miracle child.
Thule’s slogan is ‘bring your life’ – which is an amazing sentance considering our story.

Being a fit couple, we will still be jogging even the day before the baby is due, and when the tummy-mommy give us our child, this little one, will walk into an already set lifestyle of being outdoors.
After numerous research, everyone recommended the Thule Urban Glide and when I saw this post I felt that it was sent from Above, just like our baby.
If this could be ours, it will be in the nursery room and it’ll be part of our prayers to fill the seat with a miracle baby. Our baby’s first ‘wheels’
Thank you Thule and Modernmommy for the generosity to spoil a mommy with such a massive gift!

I love walking and my hubby and I often take walks together (great for bonding and exercise!). It’s even more important for me to stay healthy now. I love that the THULE stroller is great for outdoor activities, but can also be used for a day of shopping at the mall 😉 Plus it folds and stores with no hassles! Sounds perfect to me. I struggled to fall pregnant and after 5 years of trying and many fertility treatments, I decided to start running. I believe that one of the reasons I finally conceived naturally was due to my running. Now I have a beautiful 5 month old girl and I am struggling to continue with my running since I live in a town away from any family so I have to take my babba with me. My pram is just not running friendly. A Thule pram will make running possible again with its lightweight frame and awesome suspension. I may even be able to hit some trails with the Thule.

Running clears my mind and makes me a happy. A happy me means a better mum to my beautiful miracle daughter.

Also the idea that one can be quite active with the stroller which means I’d be able to jog around the estate with baby! Honestly I’m not too familiar with strollers and what features they should or should not have ( I’m learning as I’m going along). But this does sound awesome!

My husband and I are active runners, him more than me and running for silver this year in his second comrades. Our first, a little girl, is due at the end of September. I have cut down a bit on running and would love to get back into it during the summer, as soon as I am able to. I would really like to include her in our lifestyle and activities, especially over weekends when we like to run road races together. Without a proper stroller it will be difficult to take her with us, which would mean that one of us would probably have to stay home with her. I would really like to win the Thule Urban Glide as it would be a perfect fit for our new little family as it is lightweight and perfectly designed for running and an active lifestyle.

The fact that it is light and easy to push, has a front wheel that swivels for easy maneuverability and can lock into place for increased stability is a massive win for both safety, comfort and control. This pram would be perfect for me and my baby girl. We were gifted our first pram from a family member -which saved us a lot with all the other baby expenses that comes with welcoming a new life into this world. However the pram is big and bulky and not the best to jog with (we’ve tried and it was quite a bumpy ride for baba to say the least!). Trying to get fit after giving birth has been an endless struggle of home workouts and you tube videos and I am just itching to hit the ground running (pun intended!)
My favorite feature of the Thule Urban Glide has to be the storage compartment! As one always has to be prepared with a snack/wipe/hat/socks/the kitchen sink! with a tiny human:). My other favorite feature is the view in roof so that eyes can always be on my precious pumpkin

I am a student from the University of Johannesburg and my sister in law recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy this month. Unfortunately my savings for her baby shower gift was to buy her a stroller since she enjoys running and it was spent on important academic textbooks that I had to buy in February.

Honouring her with this gift, a Thule Urban Glide will be a great opportunity as she enjoys running and would also appreciate the convenience of running with her baby. Most importantly she has to become fit in less in six months so that she will be able to get in shape for her wedding in December.

Myself and my husband are part of Central Athletics Running Club. Since I’ve been pregnant and gave birth, I have been unable to run as we cannot afford a jogger pram. I truly miss running, and the Thule would allow for me to be able to start running again with my princess

Many stroller companies do not understand what is needed for a pram required for running. They simply have 3 wheels and state this is a “jogger pram” Thule however does not do this! This pram has features such as lightweight, sturdiness and incredible brakes. All features needed for your baby to be safe when you running. I would truly appreciate winning this pram!!

Ironically, our relationship started on Sea Point Promenade.

And today, 8 years later, my fiancé and I have a beautiful 14 month old daughter Mia.
She loves spending time on that stunning beach walk as much as we do, and Thule’s Urban Glide would be perfect for our needs.

Like the stroller’s MANEUVERABLE FRONT WHEEL, let me SWIVEL my head around the reasons why:

My fiancé owns about 10 different Thule products ( bike roof racks for his car, backpack, bike rack, carriers and bags, transport case and he even has a Thule case for his iPhone)

Guess how many Thule items I own?

Zero!
Time for Mia and I to even the score with this amazing Urban Glide stroller am I right!
We would be at DIFFERENT HEIGHTS of ecstasy ( like the Glide’s ERGONOMICALLY ADJUSTABLE HANDLEBARS) to win this.

So we wait in (REAR) SUSPENSION for your SMOOTH winner announcement.

I skipped my ON-THE-GO NAP and entered your competition instead, because with the Urban Glide’s ONE-HANDED COMPACT FOLD I can sip on my post run latte with the other (and this mom seriously needs to start running instead of walking on the prom haha).

Through my internet VIEW-IN-ROOF PORT, I’ll be looking at your social media channels for some good news soon 🙂
Lastly, let me JOG your memory, my fiancé owns 10 Thule products and Mia and I none – let’s even the score 😉

Time for me to start my own relationship with THULE!

It took me TWO YEARS to get back into my normal shape after having my daughter. I desperately would like to remain in shape and still have a long way to being properly fit. I am now a full time stay at home mom, which while I was working full time sounded glamorous, lol, how wrong was I! Don’t get me wrong I LOVE the extra time and cherish it so much with my daughter but it’s go go go even more than when I was at the office, at work you get a lunch break at least… with that being said I struggle to get to the gym as much as I’d like to and when I do go it’s battle with my little one who cries as if I am abondoning her when I take her to club v with the result that I cut my MUCH NEEDED gym time short. So with that said, I need this stroller to help me get in some exercise when the time between picking up toys, doing laundry and dishes and rolling up the toilet paper that my oh so cute but very busy little girl thought needed unrolling, is just too short and nerve wrecking for me to still feel the mom guilt of dropping her off at club v. I think the stroller would be the answer.

I was one of the First Ladies to comment and realized that I didn’t comment on the features of the stroller . Obviously in been thinking about how amazing t would be to win this give away and have been imagining myself running along with the stroller wherever I go ! Haha .. I love the fact that the stroller can fold down with 1 hand and is extremely light weight . I always find myself in the position where I have my little one in my arms and don’t have anyone to hand her to so that I can fold my pray so being able to fold the stroller and pick it up while holding her would be ideal . Also the adjustable handlebar is excellent as I am slightly on the taller side and would like to have a little more didstace between myself and the stroller especially while running . The fact that the storage compartment is water resistant is amazing… I never go without my phone and now it won’t have to be strapped to me out in the open or shoved in my bra 🙈… this stroller would be an incredible addition to my life right now !!

I would love to win this for myself and my daughter – spending some quality time together exploring the outdoors. I have heard amazing things about Thule from friends with experience. I would look for something that is practical yet good on the eye and the Thule is just that!

I feel too nauseous to write anything inspired. But would really love to win this for no.2 on the way. Our first born is 5 already and we gave away most of our baby things over the years (silly!).

I would like to win the pram. Struggling to lose my babyweight, i want to start running after work. But i dont want to leave baby at home, thats the time i spend with her. So if i have this pram i can lose weight and spend time with my babygirl. Thule urban glide will make it all possible.
    Holding all fingers and toes.

    Thanks so much

I would be ecstatic to win this for my little one due in a couple weeks(Mid August). With my first child our travel system was taken when our car was hijacked. After which we purchased a simple pram(cost reasons) and I struggled with maneuverability. Whilst i am definitely not an athlete I would definitely appreciate being able to venture out with a preschooler and a newborn and the lightweight design as well as maneuverability will make this such a pleasure. Holding Thumbs….XXX

I’m so excited ”””, I’m gonna be a Granny, and I believe its the most amazing feeling one could not possible imagine ,until the arrival of our little grandson. What a better way to celebrate with an amazing gift to my Son and daughter in law. I want my son to be actively involved and your jogger pram would be the perfect GIFT and still make my son look like a cool and awesome dad. WHOOP WHOOP CANT WAIT ”””””
