“Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.” – Anonymous
I have always relished the idea of traveling the world! As a child, my dad always said that the world was our oyster and that we should grab every opportunity to see whichever part of it we could. I remember how as a 19 year old who had just started her second year at Stellenbosch University, my dad took us on a family outing to Home Affairs in Bellville on Voortrekker Road and we all applied for our passports – with no travel plans on the horizon, but “It’s just a good thing to always have your passport ready,” said my dad. A few months later, I won Miss SA and made good use of that passport!
Now, years later (and 4 passports in), I have been announced as the first South African (and African) face of a brand that has an incredible reputation in aviation internationally. I am very proud to be starting this relationship with Lufthansa which was announced at an incredible event last week in Johannesburg. Yes, the real “Queen of the Skies” is actually the Boeing 747-8, but I am excited to see the world onboard her highness in style! Vielen Dank, Lufthansa. Ich freue mich SEHR!!!
