Baby Bath-time giveaway worth over R5000 … enter!

I remember that Afrikaans nursery rhyme very well: “As boetie bad is alles nat wat in die kamer staan …” (Roughly translated to “When brother baths, everything is wet that is in the bathroom”.)

Even more so because we have a three year old boy and a one year old girl who absolutely worships her “big brother” and imitates everything he does. So, twice the splashing and double the trouble 😉 To make the bath-time routine that much more enjoyable, we’ve recently added another bath-time friend into the mix …

#SponsoredPost

I recently was invited to try out the new Baby Dove product offering (I prefer shopping online and get my stash from ) and was impressed by all the careful consideration that their team put into the formulation of this “soap” and the entire range. I say “soap” in inverted commas, because I still clearly remember the fact that Dove’s  ¼ moisturising cream” was drummed into our minds when it first launched in South Africa. Well, the baby soap continues that legacy and offers your baby tip-to-toe care. From baby body wash to baby lotions, it goes beyond mildness to help keep your little one’s delicate skin, hair and scalp healthy.

In the first year of your baby’s life, their skin is delicate – so delicate that it’s about 30% thinner than our own. This means that your little one needs tip-to-toe moisturising care to help keep their skin, scalp and hair looking and feeling healthy. The rich moisture range is hypoallergenic with fragrances designed specially for baby skin and every product provides gentle care and a delicate, comforting scent for your baby.

There’s a baby body wash and a baby bar containing ¼ moisturising cream (I told you so 😉 yip, I repeat myself for emphasis!), for touchably softer delicate skin, to help nourish your baby’s skin during bath-time. The rich moisture lotion helps to moisturise, keeping baby’s skin soft, smooth and hydrated. For baby’s scalp and hair, there is a shampoo that leaves them clean and soft. And my favourite – the gentle cleansing baby wipes come in an easy-to-use pack for when you’re on the go. These I keep in my bag, even when the kids are not in tow as they are perfect for quickly freshening up the hands, wiping off make-up or wiping off the porridge hand-print on my trenchcoat.

So, keep an eye out for the range available in Clicks and if you’d like to stand a chance of winning your own Baby Dove hamper worth over R5000, share your bathtime story below in the comments to enter. The beautiful  the winner will receive are an incredible spoil for any new mom! The meaning of Thandana is “to love one another”. Both the meaning of the brand together with the philosophy behind every brand initiative is with the intention to “add”, to “grow”, to “love”. The addition symbol is a representation of all that Thandana seeks to add through the bags that it creates, “with love”. It’s home-grown chic at its best, with a focus on immaculate workmanship and quality. The bags are made by using locally produced hand printed fabrics, designed especially for Thandana, We then laminate the fabric for extra protection and durability ,adding along with all our designs genuine Bovine South African leather used throughout our entire range.

Just in case you want to know exactly what you’re winning:

  • 1x Nappy Bag & Change mat (Hazelnut leather)

Dear Jo, I’m finally pregnant! Since it’s my first baby, I don’t have any baby bathtime stories yet but I thought I would share the fact that my wonderful husband is the KING of bubble baths!! His ability to make bubbles that flow up and over bathtub are legendary (and massively entertaining – I have a photo of his expertise on our wall – with us both in the tub ;)). I look forward to him amusing our new addition with his skills. Would absolutely love this giveaway as a start to this new incredible journey.

I have a 5 year old girl. Every night we splash up a bath full of bubbles. Bath time for us is fun time. Finally her wishes are coming true. For the last 3 years she has been asking the question “when is she going to have a brother or sister to enjoy bath time with.” Well after many struggles, her wishes are coming true. Soon she will have a baby brother to enjoy bath time with. With the Dove product it would be perfect. No hassles and stress free.

    Hi Jo!

just like you I have a pigeon pair. My boy is 4 years old and my girl is 4 months old. we have always had endless issues with my son during his bath time routine- we can never get him out of the bath! He is obsessed with bubbles during bath time and even tries to make his own by squishing all the soap bars together and throwing them into the tub! needless to say, when he’s in the bath, its total danger, all soaps, hand washes, body scrubs and body washes need to be hidden away or else all will be put into the tub to create the ultimate bubble explosion! However, the joy that illuminates in those little eyes for something so simple as bubbles, is totally priceless!
it looks like little sister is following in his footsteps, she loves bath time and often cries when we take her out.
I would love this giveaway to be able to see the light on my sons face when he realizes that he can spend more time in the bath with these new delicious dove items.

Hi there. I recently purchased the new baby dove range and love the smell of it. It really is a mission getting a 6 year old to bath, and when we in the bath, he doesn’t want to come out because he has to “practice”his swimming lessons in the bath, so by the time his done, the whole bathroom is wet🤦🏽‍♀️But those are the crazy moments we as mothers cherish. Would be an awesome giveaway to win with the lovely smelling dove products and the beautiful Tandana nappy bag range😊😊🤞🏽

    Dear Joanne!
After many years of wishing to fall pregnant, having declared 2017 to be my best year ever , it indeed has been the best year to date as l await the birth of my Prince.
One of the best experiences of my pregnancy so far has been taking long baths after a tiresome day at work.Everyday l look forward to rushing home and run a warm bubble bath, l called it our “bonding session”, as l get to rub my tummy , and appreciate the gift of life that l am carrying .Winning this hamper will be the best early present ,as l will get to continue bonding with my son once he is born through using dove products for his bath time.looking forward to giving my prince the tip-to-toe experience.

    Hi Jo-Ann
These Dove baby bath products sound amazing! Baby skin is definitely very delicate, and gets dry so easily, as is the case with my 6 month old son. His cheeks especially seem to get affected by this winter air, so 1/4 moisturizing cream in anything that gets applied to his skin would probably be great. I would love to try the products.

My bath time story probably has to be when my husband and I bathed our son for the very first time after he was born. He was 8 or 9 days old, and it was nothing short of scary!! We couldn’t even quite agree on whether the water was the right temperature or not, so we spent almost a good 5min testing it. Our little one seemed so squirmy and slippery, and very loud (he screamed the whole time) ! We don’t know who was more stressed out during the ordeal, him or us. Today I can happily say he loves his bath time, and so do we!

Our daughter is four now and bathtime is story time in our home. She tells us what happened during her day at Daycare. It is special to see her grow & flourish in a loving environment.
The Daycare is a special place filled with special people and one of the teacher assistants are pregnant. The prize would be for her, the woman that loves our daughter like her own.

Our so called ‘bath routine’ consist of me having to chase down my 3 year old who thinks bathtime is the absolute best time to run around the house like a crazy person. When we eventually get her into the tub, ALL the bath toys have to join in. We start off with the hair, so we do the top-to-toe thing. Funny that when she’s in the tub, it’s a battle to get her out again. So I allow for some playing and splashing. A thorough towel drying in every fat little fold. Moisturising consist of a lovely whole body massage with tickling, counting fingers and toes and naming the different body parts. We really enjoy bathtime as it’s a fantastic way of bonding.

Where mom allows bubbles galore and loads of playtime and discussing how the day at creche has been. would absolutely love to experience the new baby dove range.

My daughter is 7 months, going for eight. i have struggled to find the right product for her skin, nothing hectic but just small rash on the face. i have changed products and now currently using the dove sensitive products which are good to her skin. I will like to try all the range as I only got the shampoo & lotion both for sensitive skin. My baby enjoys her bath time, its like a mini therapy to her and i would like her dove products to add that magic touch to her bath time. 🙂

Next week my baby will be 8 months 🙂
Bathing a new born…how was I going to do it? Do I remember how? All these baffling thoughts running through my brain (my pregnancy brain) almost a year ago when I was pregnant with my 3rd boy.
A baby! After 13 years! My eldest being 16 and my then youngest (now the middle child) being 13, all the gasps I received #rollingeyes
Nevertheless….I remember the first time I bathed my little laat lammetjie like it was yesterday. There was no reason to warm up the room as my little baby boy was born in summer, I let the sun rays warm the room by drawing the curtains. I put his OOTD ready, all his lovely smelling creams and lotions and powder ready. My husband (new dad at 41) filled the bath, lathered with bubble bath. We were now ready. We carefully undressed the little body, being ever delicate and gentle. The bathing went well, it was the aftermath that got us. The moment we took Zaeem out of the bath he started screaming, nothing would soothe him, not even his pacifier. All he wanted was to be fed by his mom. We ended not dressing him and I fed him, my lap was soaked and full of lotion and powder. A moment we won’t forget. From then on we knew that that little baby was going to rule our world 😉

Bath time with my Logy bear is always fun, a struggle at first cause he refuses to get in but once he’s in, he will then refuse to get out.
I always sing the same song to him, while I wash him and these days he sings with me.
He refuses to play with bath toys instead he plays with jugs or cups or whatever he can fill up with water.
Bath time is my favourite bonding with my son and treasure all our singing sessions and him splashing me but more than anything it’s the smile on his face while he’s making me wet with the water.

Every day at around 5pm I gather my two girls, almost 4 and two years old and run them a warm bubble bath. We foam it up real good and make father Christmas beards. I put a big bath tub in the shower so they can mess and splash and I don’t have to clean up after. I love bath time as much as my girls do. After much washing and splashing I take them out and sing them their after bath song, the same one my mom sang to me all those years ago!

Dove has been a favourite of mine since I was a teen, so excited to try the new baby range on my 10 month old baby, Liam. Liam LOVES bath time, especially now that he can stand up and splash both daddy and myself. It has become significantly more difficult to wash him since he became more mobile, as he prefers to play in the bath
rather than be washed, but seeing how much fun he is having warms my heart every time. He does however look very surprised when he gets water on his own face when splashing 🙂

    Hi Jo Ann
My baby is only 10 months old and bath time is already hilarious and tiring. My boy baths in a tub that was bought when his dad was born… Naturally my mother in-law was very proud to pass it down to her first grandchild 33 years (yes hubby is 33) later.

My boy goes absolutely frantic when he gets out into the bath, he kicks so much that it creates its own waves and so hard that evrything around him gets soaked. Needless to say we now put his baby tub in the adult bath, which still doesn’t stop him from making tidal waves.

The funniest part though is when we try to lift him out of the bath, he grabs hold of the sides and literally pulls the bath with him when its time to get him out (he’s even tipped the bath before).

By the time he’s rubbed and dressed, I’m soaken wet, might as well bath him with a wet suit on.

I would not trade bath time for anything though.

I am a first time mother at 22 years old. My princess is my world. I love every moment of being a mother . Bath time is always an amazing experience for the both of us. It’s a time we get to connect and share smiles while I wash and soap her…. she is two months old and already knows how to splash and lift her hands up when I am bathing her… It is like a perfect picture, my everyday reality with her. The joy of a child is undescribable from their giggles to their naughty smile, being a mother is the perfect gift God has blessed us with.

When my baby was born he would literally sleep through bathtime. Yes, people were envious and kept saying, “it’s a boy so just wait till he’s about 6 months old. He’ll hate bathtime and give you so many problems”. He’s 7 months old now and STILL loves bathtime. Doesn’t cry one bit, except when I start drying him off because he then knows it’s the end of his bath. It’s such an amazing bonding time for us and I thoroughly enjoy every second of it. Nomatter what other people say 🙂

    Hello Modern Mommy
I have a 1 year old son who loves to stand in the tub and have a hand shower. So the wash is the easiest to use on him. The smell is so great and i love that I can sniff him and he smells like how a baby should smell and at the same time is wonderful for his skin. I had my baby girl on 24 August 2017, yes shes 3 weeks old already 😊 life is abit crazy with a 1 year old and 3 week old baby. Whilst in hospital the nurses mentioned the numerous awards the Dove Baby range had won and thats when I decided to purchase the range and try it for myself. Both my babies have sensitive skin so instead of using several different products on both of them, I am able to use 1 range which is great for their skin and lets not forget to mention the wonderful smell 😍 My baby boy is such a busy body whilst i get him dressed after his shower and the dove bottles help keep him busy whilst i massage him and dress him. His little hands are able to hold the bottles n turn them around and pretend like hes reading the labels to ensure im using the best on him 🤣
Winning this competition will allow me to have more products in stock for both my babies. My little girl has had to use alot of her brothers hand me downs so the diaper bag an accessories will be such a great prize for me to use for her.
    Thank you for your blog.

Dear John, I am a young first time mommy. My son Aaden is just 3 months old. He has never been a fan of bath times. From his very first bath he screamed the entire way through. The little guy hates being cold (much like the rest of us). Bath time generally consisted of both his dad and I trying to dance around or smother him with love to keep him calm. Until recently. In the last month little Aaden has made a complete turn around. Suddenly bath time is his most relaxing time. He has become so obsessed with his bath time he even drools a little when I get him in the bath. We currently use the baby dove nappy cream, body wash and shampoo but would absolutely love to be able to add the rest of the items to our somewhat small collection. Xx

What a lovely giveaway! I am a Mama to an 18-month-old little girl who just loves to bath. It’s family time for us – my husband and I sit with her and listen to her chatter away (and contribute to the conversation if we can too). She splashes about and plays with her toys with great glee. The only thing she’s not keen on is the washing bit… 😉 Maybe the lovely Baby Dove range might make her happier? It’s a worth a try – holding thumbs!

    Hi Incredible Mom,
I am finally a mom after 7yrs of suffering From PCOS and a lifestyle change to a baby girl. She is 7 months old. And like any new mom every day is a learning experience. Bath time like feeding ,playtime and sleep time has its many ups and downs. From trying to bathe a fragile little newborn,to now trying to wrestle with an octupus.water every where and bum cream in all the wrong places..but its the most fun and rewarding experiences of my life. Baby is exhausted and sleeps soundly and peaceful after her bath time. Its a time she gets to explore and get to know her own body aswell. She loves her massages when I rub her with her lotion and we do little delicate excercises with her legs and arms . She loves when I brush her hair, she was blessed with a thick full head of hair. She has recently developed allergies (we have a family history) aswell as cradle cap.I use non scented bath products on her hair and skin.would love to give the dove range a try. Thank u for all the advice .

Im a mom of 2 boys and a girl, my middle child is 8 and after 8 years i was blessed to have a little girl who will be 8 months in the few days.Being a boy mom for 12 years meant bathtime was a workout as the boys would have to be chased around the house as they were playful and busy as little boys should be, splashes and bubbles all over the bathroom floor was a norm in my household and those precious moments are now just a memory, with my almost 8 month baby girl bathtime means quality time and bonding, as a working mom I miss out on alot during the day. Its also a relaxing time for me to unwind and forget about the busy day and hectic meeting schedules at work. We talk(okay i do most of the talking lol) and she responds with sounds and gestures and most importantly a smile and warm laughter which makes my heart melt, moments to treasure forever…i could spend hours washing her hair and lathering her tiny little fingers and toes but with water restrictions in the Western Cape we get clean and get out no wasting water.I just need that smile at bathtime and my day is made.

Bath time for us is a favorite. Since my son was born he has loved the water. The only problem I’ve had is that he doesn’t want to get out of the bath.
I’m looking forward to trying the Dove Baby range out on him as he tends to get dry skin sometimes and continue to use it for my new baba on the way. If he/she is anything like my son we’ll have lots more bath time fun together.

    hello Jo-ann

Bath time in the Naidoo household is crayzeee!!

I shout for a solid 30min for them to get undress and to bath…
Then its a fighting session.. because one has more bubbles , the one wants to “power up” like the Power Rangers or they cry cause ones arm touched…

Now I bath Zion first (age 1) he likes to play with bubbles and splash the water..
Zac (age 4) is second to bath, we “power up” and fight off the aliens..
Then its Jasmin (age 7) she wants privacy from the boys.. and she like to ask questions about her body..

With each of my kids, its different memories we make together…

I have tried the baby dove lotion recently and was very impressed with the product. He had really bad eczema on his legs this winter, I tried a variety of products but none of them worked. I tried the baby dove lotion and after just one day I could see an improvement and after about a week it cleared up. Would love to try the other products in the range, I’m sure they are just as awesome!!

So we are one of those supposedly normal families. We have our fun and giggles and everything in between.

Our first born, now 2year and 9month old boy, gave us our fair share of bathtime stories! Since birth I would get in the tub, wash baby and hand to daddy to cream and dress, while I rest and relax a bit before feeding etc. When he was only a few days old I finally convinced daddy to give him a bath – bonding time for the men I tought.. needless to say it was a first and last. Our little busy body decided it was so relaxing and made a number 2; without going into to much detail, it only went downhill from there.

I am currently 31weeks pregnant with no2.. a girl. I know daddy will love her to bits and spend tons of time with her.. however none will happen in the tub!

I would love to win this amazing prize, a decent nappy bag is a definite must (we used our hospital bag until it started falling apart).. but having the opportunity to get both a set of rich moisture and sensitive complete dove range to try would be a real treat as I have a very sensitive skin (and have been using the original white dove body soap ONLY for more than 25 years).
If our little girl is anything like mommy (in terms of a very sensitive skin) this would be a great way to start stocking up on a bath range.

Bath time is loads of fun in my house. I am a widowed mummy to a two year old boy. We are very strict about saving water and therefore do not bath every night but when we do he makes it into the biggest game. Being a mama to a little boy is the best. Just last night as he was falling asleep he said “how did I get such a beautiful mama’ My heart just melted.

A big splash here and a big splash there as my mini sharks surf in the tub. Ohhhh guys please don’t ((((KASPLASH)))))…. and mummy is dripping wet! Guys look what you have done??? But we need to know how to swim screams my chubby cheeked twin boys. They love the feel of creamy aqueous cream on their skin as mummy rubs the dirt away. Splash away as mummy shampoos the hair and by the time we done that tub is already half empty with a highly soaked mummy and her twin boys💜

Bath Time! My sons favourite time of day/night! He simply enjoys bath time! Its my “me” time with my baby. This is a time that we both absolutely enjoy together. It is our bonding time. Bath time stories are endless! Because my little fellow loves splashing about in his tub. But the one time i wont forget is the 1st time i put him into his tub! My gosh iv never seen so sparkly eyes before. Iv given him a bath in a sink when he was a baby. As he reached 2 months i put him into his baby tub and since then i only see glowy eyes at every bath time – i csnt say the same about changing lol!

    Dear Jo,
I am a mom-to-be and very excited to meet my firstborn in the new year. However, i have my little niece who is like my own to me. I make regular visits to her during the week after work and bath time is a definite when i go around. She absolutely loves to bath. I bathe her and then we play with her toys afterwards. She does however, hate to wash her hair. And even with a specialised jug, to stop the water from going near her face or eyes, she still screams blue murder when we rinse her head. So some bath times end up in tears and sometimes its not just her tears. But she soon forgives me when I wrap the towel around her and gets her out of the tub. And then we go to the room to moisturise and massage whilst getting dressed.
The funny thing is, when her mum decides to take a bath after I have done my her, then she wants to undress again and bath with mum again.
She is an absolutely beautiful child and I love her to bits.
And I know that I will share a stronger bondbwith my own baby soon and have my own bathtime stories to share.
    From (excited mom-to-be) Shiree

We are out for this weekend at the Uvongo river Resort in Uvongo. And my one year old (turns one on Sunday ) little girl is miserable and irritable. She is teething and also has a sore throat. I normally bath both my kids twice a day at home. Today I decided to skip her evening bath. And I forgot about it. She was extremely irritable. After a long time I realised maybe she wants to bath. So I asked her . Do you want to bath. She cannot talk bit she started pulling at her clothes. Then she wanted to go onto the floor so I put her down and she started making her way crawling towards the bathroom. So I said to her go to the bathroom and she went and started banging on the bathroom door. I taught she wouldn’t know the bathroom as we arrived today but she was familiar. Then I have her a bath. (I carried a small collapsible bucket with me on holiday) and she immediately calmed down, relaxed and stopped fussing. In hope to win this awesome prize for my kids .

Our little baby boy Matthew is 3 months old. His favorite thing at the moment is his nightly bath time routine with mommy and daddy… We prepare a peaceful environment for Matt by playing him nursery rhymes such as five little ducks went swimming one day. The moment he hears that tune his eyes light up and that smile and little baby giggle is priceless. He loves bath time as he splashes and experiences being in the water. Bath time is family bonding time with our boy. At the beginning being a first time mom I never realized just how sensitive a little baby’s skin was that I used any product that was gifted to me at my baby shower. Low and behold Matt developed a rash and his pediatrician diagnosed him with very sensitive skin. One of my aunts blessed us with the sensitive dove range and Omw it works like a charm.

My mom and I have never had a close relationship hence I can’t remember the last time we bonded over anything in my entire lifetime, but 4months ago I had my daughter and everything changed… We bonded over something as simple as “bath time”, my mother and I found ourselves laughing and letting our walls down during a time when we were giving baby her baths, she taught me bath techniques and how to massage my little one. She still enjoys coming over to give my little one a bath, and even when she’s not here bath time is still my favorite moment because it takes me back to the moments I shared with my mom.
I hope one day my daughter and I can bond over the same thing, and I’m quite sure we’ll be using Dove baby products too.

We still used cotton wool cause we didnt wana use a face cloth. She enjoyed it and was so calm. We were still newbies and was so gentle. Afterward my mom in law took a picture of us. We still have it but she looked so refreshed and energized and my husband and i looked horrible lol we had bags under our eyes. Overtired cause we werent sleeping. Dearest Jo. Bathtime is special for so many reasons. My son, William, is so fond of water, so seeing him splashing away with a smile on his face makes me so happy. We get in the bath together and there we enter our imaginary world. William is 11 months old and his little sister is due in December. He started taking notice of my ever big belly in the bath and sometimes she responds by kicking back. I love nothing more than a clean, moisturised baby!

He just love the water!! I have excema and was so scared my little boy will also have. As soon as i heard about the Dove range I made sure I got some. It is amazing!! I use it on him at every bath time!! No excema or dry skin for my little boy, it is so gentle on his skin!! Bath times are just so much more fun as I can let him play longer in the water with the Dove products as it does not dry his skin out!! Dove really went the extra mile and makes this first time mommy relax a little more!!! Lots of love Leandra Krige x x

I was so happy to hear of the baby range because my babies have very dry skin and mild eczema . My 8 year-old daughter and 23 months old were both using the normal original dove and you can imagine the excitement when we heard that there was a new baby range. We are so in love with it and dove at least takes a bit of guilt from me for passing my trouble some skin to them . Im expecting a surprise 3rd and it will obviously be the only choice for the new addition and Thandana goodies will just be cherry on top . Thumbs up on a great ramge of products 🖒

It was a blessing in its own having been told by doctors that I will never concieve again after my son. She is a lively little person and enjoys her baths most of all she enjoys trying to get hold of the bubbles that the soap makes. Her skin is perfect and I would love to keep it that way so I only wane use the best for her so I use baby dove soap.. now she tries to eat the soap. Overall I have a happy baby.

I’m expecting our third child and we’ve broken the news to her and her 11 year sister as I’m reaching the end of my first trimester. I never really get in word as she she is too busy telling me about her day and sings little rhymes with her mouth towards my tummy so her brother/sister can hear her 😊. I would love to try the Dove range as I’ve not tried it before. Xxxx

My bath time consist of double trouble. I have twins that are about to turn 3 months on the 19th of September. A beautiful boy and girl. When it comes to bath time everyday, its like a spa treat for them. They love getting pampered, especially when I wash their tiny little heads with absolutely no hair. I don’t know which one smiles more, them or me of delight. After bathing them, I use baby lotion to massage their bodies and little feet. The best time of the day. I would love to win the baby dove range to spoil them even more and giving their body the protection it needs.

So we have 3 adorable little ones in our home. My son being the oldest at 20 months. Then there’s Gorgeous Farah, 4 months old, who was born with these gorgeous locks of hair. For her Bath time is a is all about making that hair shiny. It’s truly an amazing sight. And little baby Alaya, who is just a mere 6 weeks old now. She’s so tiny, and petite. When she’s in the bath, she goes quiet and her huge eyes open even wider, to explore everything around her. These three all enjoy bath time. Muhammad Ayaan has a blast in the bath with he’s ducks and fish. Once he’s in we can get him out! Bath time is fun time in our home!

    Hi Jo,

Thank you so much for sharing your bath story.
I run a place of safety for abused and abandoned babies, so bath time by me is a lot of fun, water, soap and lotion/jelly. I have 14 kids and 7 are under the age of 3.
The youngest one is 2 weeks old, he doesn’t like the bath but enjoys the shower. He loves the water to go over his little face.
My 4 mobth old loves kicking her leggs abd splashing the water all over which goes together with happy sounds.
The 6 month old girl is just starting to see on her own she loves it that she can sit now in the bath as well.
My two 1 years olds love bathing, the splash and laugh the whole time, their is no way anyone will stay dry in the bath room.
My 2 year old has a very sensitive skin, so soap i cant really use which is such a pitty as it so nice to bsth her with that, must keep an eye on baby dove for her.
And my 3year old boy he is getting big, he loves bathing, he will go under water, makes waves abd loves bubble bathes so he can make foam beards.
And after bath all of them get a lovely message, to calm down and relax.

Bath time is an amazing bonding time in my house.

My little man was in incubators, drips and all kinds of needles and he barely cried!. I then named him Clark, after Superman as he is our fighter. Clark loves bath time and I do not have any bath washes for him. I would love for him to enjoy his bath time ever more with Baby Dove products 💙

My little girl is 2 and a half. Sometimes when I bath her, some of my hair lands in the water and she always thinks that it’s a spider floating in the water. Then I have to take it out immediately. She also enjoys washing her doll. She washes the doll so well that in the end the doll is probably more clean than she is. She even puts soap in the dolls mouth to clean it😄 She loves bathing so much that she runs to the bathroom when she hears that is bath time. She used to cry when the water went into her eyes, but now she takes the jug herself and pours the water over her head. In a couple of months she will also have a baby brother or sister splasing with her in the bath.

At this stage, he is not enjoying bath time that much, but hopefully that will change soon, possibly with the help of Dove’s baby bath range! We’ve been on a schedule for bathing every second day, for fear of drying out his sensitive skin too much, and will feel much more comfortable doing his daily baths with Dove’s range. My husband and I use Dove soap exclusively for ourselves and I am delighted about the baby range! 😀

My little girl is two, and loves water. It wasn’t always the case though, she has extremly sensitive skin, since birth she struggled with mild rashes that baby soap agravated. I have been using normal dove soap for the whole family for a while now as her skin loves it. Now bath time is so much fun, I normally end up in the tub with her, since everything is wet anyway 🙂 would love to try out the new dove baby range and a Thandana bag to carry all those little girl goodies in would make my day.

So I have a beautiful handsome baby boy, who is 3 months old, 14 weeks to be exact and bath times at the moment are just amazing. So he started to learn to play with his hands and learning to kick, so bath times is filled with flattering kicks and playing with water and big smiles. My son loves the water it calms him down, he enjoys being in the water and sometimes we have to deal with some crying as he wants to stay in it. I started using the Dove range for my baby’s sensitive skin and I love how my son’s skin feels after a nice bath, so soft and smooth and has done great things to my baby’s skin. Being a first time mom, I get to learn on the way and now I know not to just use anything on my baby’s skin. It worked like a charm 🙂

    Hi Joanne
Well bathtime for us is most certainly happy time. I have a 1 year old daughter who just loves water, I think it’s because I used to soak in the bathtub and play music for her when she was still in-utero. And whats bath time without a special friend to splash with? Well in her case, it’s not a sibling but a rubber ducky that makes her bath time all the more fun. She loves playing and splashing in the water and so that she doesn’t cry when bath time is over, I’ve worked out a strategy. I have to let the water go while she’s still in it and we wave goodbye to it and tell it we’ll see it again tomorrow. This way she gladly let’s me take her out of the bath tub,and I better not dare leave duck behind. Who’s soon forgetten about right after we get to the room by the way. My little one is a water baby for sure.

Hi. My wife and I were at the Clicks Baby Meetup in Cape Town and loved your talk. We are expecting our first but I remember washing my niece when I was babysitting her and she hates bathing so I had to splash water for her as she only enjoys it when the water is moving. It became a little game to distract her but it did include me slipping and falling occasionally, which she obviously thought was part of the fun and made her laugh at her silly uncle 🙂 we would love this prize so much and we are so excited for our baby!

Bath time has always been a fun bonding time in our home. It ususally ends in a soaked bathroom but that is all part of it. I have two happy splashers, and I am adding a third in April next year. One of my childrens favorite bathtime memories (which they regularly ask for) is a bath full of bubbles with glow sticks in too. This creates a wonderful “glow”in the bath, and lots of fun but be warned it takes a lot to get them out. I have always used dove on my children, how wonderful now that they have their own range and don’t need to use moms anymore!!

Why hello there. If its bathtime stories you’re after i have to oblige mam. I have a 4 year old and a 3 month old. The 4 yr old .. hates.. getting her face wet. Hates it. No you dont understand… HATES it. (Dont let me start on how swimming lessons go but we are the laughing stock of the pool.let them judge..its cool). So… how in heavens name do we wash this girls hair? Well.. we started by getting her to wash the car… (i suspect my husband had ulterior motives here… not sure). It progressed to washing her dolls hair… which aint that fun if no one is screaming in agony. Next… dads hair.. and finally mums long… long… long hair. We would spend hours hung over the bathtub with her in it teaching her to wash our hair. (I will deliberately leave out the part about the blood rushing to our heads and being ready to pass out… it will spoil he moment). So we tried this dove thing. I mus say… dad n my eyes arent so red anymore from her washing our hair lol. It must be that ONE QUARTER MOISTURISING CREAM..there i said it :). Seriously though she has taken to it too. 🙂 at least we can save baby sister from our painful fate too now. And ourselves as we prepare to do this ALL over again. Second times a charm though.. with DOVE. And dont we feel so fancy using it lol. Sometimes i use the sensitive lotion for my hands… shhhhhhhh… (Dont tell anyone.) As for the giveaways… i lurve free stuff. Please pick me (shameless i know… i lost my dignity after giving birth..i can only go uphill from here). Thanks for listening.

As I first-time Mom-to-be, I cannot wait to create my own bathtime stories! But that’s not to say I have plenty of my own already…
When I was 18, my regular job was babysitting my laatlametjie brother (who I adore)… I can clearly remember running his bath, adding an ‘recommended’ amount of bubble bath and walking away to chat to my friends on the phone (dont worry, at this point my baby brother was having time of his life eating finger biscuits and watching bob the builder in my room)
Unbeknownst to me… our cat had knocked over the entire bottle of bubble bath into the bath. And that was just the tip of the iceberg… I “somehow” lost track of time and by the time I walked into the bathroom I was faced with bubbles in the form of skyscrapers, infact the bubbles had created an entire city all over the bathroom… let’s not even mention how much water was running out of the tub onto the floor. I just remembered thinking it closely resembled those images I had seen of Vic Falls in our family encyclopeadia.
My brother and I took that opportunity to have the time of our lives. I put him in the tub and he quickly disappeared… I got in and made him all sorts of bubble sculptors. We laughed, and laughed. Thats until I gazed through my bubble mask and saw my Mom glaring at the mess in anger… she began to speak, “this looks like fun, just one question… (long pause) where’s the cat??!”

I am 28 weeks pregnant with my first. Hubby has a daughter of 8 and is already starting to make bath time excuses. He is SO worried that he will drop a slippery baby in the bath and that mommy will freak out. Every now and then, he tries to re-assure me that ‘Everyone drops babies’!!
Even though my husband is such a great dad already and is super excited about his son being born in December, I think he is secretly petrified of bath time 🙂

Good morning! Joanne, you are one of my role-models 🙂 The bags are a great initiative -thanks for sharing this info! I have a 9 month old little boy who has developed his own version of a rinse cycle. All I have to do is lather him up and he does the rest. Using his hands, and now recently his feet too, he creates tidal waves in the bath, while giggling and smiling up at me. He gets rinsed and clean, I get completed soaked and the bathroom floor gets a clean too; sometimes even the windows and walls. I’ll never tell him to stop or calm down or sit still. I just laugh, dry myself and the bathroom, snuggle him up in a towel and tell him I love him. For some, bath time is supposed to be a calm experience before bedtime. But when a baby gets so much joy from water and playing with his parents, there is no way I would stop that. Besides, he sleeps beautifully! My son has taught me to always find joy in every moment, regardless of rules, or “supposed to’s”. I am so grateful to him – my little love <3

    Dear Joanne

Bathtime in our home is awaited by big round gleamimg eyes as we tell our 18 month old princess “Lets go bath”, with her response being “Go bath” in her cute little bambino voice. Daddy runs the bath and makes the ultimate bubble explosion with our little one in her bath tub, this is followed by endless laughs, giggles and screams of excitement. My baby then sings her nursery rhymes, followed by the occasional “mummy, daddy”, while she crosses her legs and relaxes. Yes.. this does happen, we couldn’t believe it ourselves. The first time this happened my hubby and I just looked at each other and smiled with glee…our big little girl! Needless to say getting her out of her tub isnt easy, my hubby has to drop out her water while she still in her tub, this is our everynight routine and the only way to get her out of the tub without having a tantrum. Daddy sees to our big girl, while i attend to our 2 week old little girl. My princesses deserve the best, therefore winning this prize will be an honor.

    Hello modern mommy Jo-Ann!
I have a baby girl that is 8 weeks old and she hasn’t missed one day of bathing! She absolutely loves the water and stares at me when I wash and massage her body with Dove baby products! When I take her out the bath I always sing “Slipsh Splash I was taking a bath” whilst I dress her. She always has a big smile on her face (not sure if it’s because I can’t sing or if she enjoys the singing)
I have always loved Dove and when they announced their baby range my mom called me to share the news (obviously I already knew)
I look forward to all the splish splashes when she moves from her baby bath to the big bath!

    Hi Jo-Anne,

We are basically in the same boat as you. Our son is turning 3 in December and our little girl is turning 1 in November. Bath time is such a laugh in our household. Myself and my lil girl normally have our bath together (thank goodness for a big bath) as its our bonding time and she is breastfed when ever she feels like it even during bath time. She has a bath seat, but she gets distracted by the milk on tap and thus hates sitting in her bath seat when we are in the bath together. She also has eczema and finding a range that does not irritate nor worsen her condition is tough as you spend quite a bit of money on special ranges just to find that it does more harm than good.
Next in the bath is our son, he is a total water baby and absolutely loves his baths with his little sister. He would splash water and she would giggle and return the splatter and then they both would laugh in excitement. I have endless videos of the two of them together. I wish they could slow down and stay small a little longer so I could love them longer and treasure the moments they spend together.

My little girl loves bath time, her little duckies especially! She turns 1 in heritage day and I’d love to win this! She’s always had break outs on her chest with products like Johnson’s and Elizabeth Anne’s so I hope this is the miracle we are looking for. Dove has always been well known for their excellent moisturising and gentleness on skin. I also need a new nappy bag and the Thandana is on my wish list!!!

Please pick me (shameless i know… i lost my dignity after giving birth..i can only go up from here). Thanks for listening.

    Hi All
So I’m currently pregnant again and I just can’t wait to meet our newest little member bath time is and always has been the most special one on one time I’ve been blessed to have with my little one, my son who is currently 20 months old can’t get enough of water and bath time is when he gets a chance to totally let loose and enjoy his love for water, Mommy being pregnant now has to sit down on a stoel next to him instead of being bent over double doing the splash splash ritual haha but with this change he now takes it upon himself to splash mommy even more and with shrieks of laughter we still enjoy every moment. My little man has even started to use our splashing game as an encouraging thing to do to learn how to wash his little body properly haha, we’d love a chance to win this prize and hopefully big brother can help to baby sibling the splash game along with mommy when the time comes 🙂 Holding thumbs. Love and light to all.

I remember the first month of our sons bath time was just full of tears even when it took my Mom and I to bath him. He’s now 3 months and is almost too big for the baby bath, so he pushes and splashes the water out of the bath with his strong little feet. And he loves it when you give him a big hug in his towel after his bath.

    Hi There
I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. Both boys, so you can imagine how raunchy bath-time is. Its a never-ending cycle of splashes and trying to see who can wet mommy the most. We currently use the Dove Baby Sensitive range, because my eldest has eczema. And it doesnt irritate his skin. They both enjoy it when i blow bubbles for them, but alas it also sometimes ends up in a fight because someone burst a bubble that wasnt on his side of the bath.
I have to admit though that the funniest moment is also a bit disgusting. But what can i say, boys. Big brother farted in the bath, which made the bloop-bloop sound, which had baby brother laughing super loud.

    Afternoon Modern mommy
I would like to share my group bath time with you as it will be a memory for a life time!
This Mommy seriously had ‘n splash of ‘n dip last year….while the oldest turned 1 year old, I was 8 months pregnant with the second. Let me sketch a picture……….it all started last year when my tummy grew so big that I could hardly kneel down to bath my one year old. So I decided we shall have a group both with little bumble bee safe and sound in my tummy and little “ousus” between my legs. What a surprise it was that little bumble bee was already interacting with her big sister in the outside word. As soon as we got into the bath, my little bumble bee stated to kick with all the power ever, as he/she suddenly felt like swimming in the bath (As we wanted not to know the gender before any of our babies birth, I started to believe that this baby could only be a boy). But my favorite moment was when my toddler soon relies that my tummy was bouncing up and down the water……. She sat like pillar and did not make a sound or a movement the whole time we were in the bath (I wish she could speek at that time to share her thoughts with me). This was definitely a win win situation, because for me with this large whale body, it made the bathing task so much easier. When ever she was al over the place, I decided to get into the bath with her and bumble bee wil do the work as I can bath “ousus” in peace. Now a year later, I seriously ran out of ideas on how to bath these baby girls. I thought of falling pregnant again just to let ‘n new bumble bee do the peacekeeping in my bathroom. But this is a 13 month apart experience I will never ever would like to have turned out differently.. Two baby girls on nappies, stil growing into toddles, make life very interesting. We never have a dull moment in our house and sure the bath time is the highlight of the day. I think that all mothers with twins can relate to this situation.
    Lots of love
    The bumble bee family

As a first time mommy, you are always on the look out for what is best for your baby and I have found that in the Dove Baby Range. My baby girl is 6 months old and as a working mom bath time is our time to bond and catch up. She simply loves bath time, bath time means splash time which equals a wet mommy. I use the whole range and I love that she is left smelling so wonderful for hours. Her skin is so soft and moisturized all day… one less thing for this mommy to worry about.

    Hi

Bath time for a while was painful having to juggle two kids and also filled with guilt as to who to spend more time with during bath time. Now that I am settling in a routine, I think that both my boys have realised that they have to share mummy and thay includes at bath time. With my 4 year old it’s loads of Bath foam (the aerosol ones) and water guns in the bath. With my infant, it’s a few crazy songs to avoid tears. I think he’s just confused as to why mum is acting like a crazed maniac 🙂 he also has very sensitive skin which makes me even more nervous everytime I put him in the bath. I would love to try dove!

All in all I wouldn’t trade the crazy times for the world. Although sometimes I wish I could have my own bath time story instead of a family conference when I’m doing so! Lol…

So I have a 4yr old boy and 1yr old girl.. While bath time is enjoyed by my son except for when it’s time to wash his hair, that’s when the drama starts, because he hates getting water in his eyes. My daughter on the other hand hates bathing and only when I’m taking her out the bath it seems she is enjoying herself. Lately we have been having water restrictions so bath night is basically a proper bath once a week with hair washing and thorough scrubbing and the rest of the week they get wipe downs and of course dove is favoured for it’s moisturizing abilities to keep their skin from drying out and keep away my sons mild eczema. I will definitely be trying out Dove’s new baby range soon!

    Hi Jo
Ok so mine is a long one but I think it’s worth the read. I would like to explain exactly why bath time is so dear to me and my munchkins.

I am a mum to two amazing children, my eldest is Hassaana (5years old) she is a little fighter and the spirit of our home. She was born at 31 weeks and 1.2kg, she spent 5 weeks in NICU. During her stay in NICU, I felt completely lost and useless. I could do very little for her in the beginning and we were heavily reliant on the nurses. I know it may seem strange but the one thing I most desired to do was to give her a bath. I had no idea why at the time. But the first time I gave her a bath I realized exactly why I so desperately wanted to, it was amazing. She was so calm and happy, I felt like a mother for the first time and we could finally bond. Bath time became the most important time for us and remains so to this day.

Now that you’ve heard about Hassaana let me tell you about the new addition to the family, our little tot Raees. Born at 37 weeks and 2.8kg, he is now 4 months old. I could not believe that I had carried him almost to term and he had such a great birth weight. Again bath time became a very special time for us to be alone and bond. I could not believe how responsive he was while in the water as a little newborn and I cherished every second of it. But, at 3 weeks of age he became very ill and was hospitalized for a week. It turned out that he had contracted RSV and a serious lung infection. And so I found myself back in hospital with a little baby. Because of his drip I avoided bathing him at all costs (I couldn’t bare the thought of that drip having to be reinserted). And so for the second time I found myself yearning to bath my little baby. As soon as we were discharged I couldn’t wait to get home and give him a wonderfully soothing bath (he had been through so much).

So you see bath time is more than just splish splashy fun to me, it is what makes me feel like a mother and what allows me to bond with my babies and show them how much I love them💜

    Thank you

    Hi…..

My almost 2 month old (7 weeks) little boy simply loves bath time. He enjoys the feeling of the water running down his skin when rinsing the soap after he’s been washed, he has the most adorable smile throughout the entire process.
His big brother and I always sing a song that their aunt used to sing at bath time.
At almost 2 months old he screams blue murder when it’s time to take him out of the bath….

P.S keeping my fingers crossed as the baby Dove range smells absolutely amazing

Bath time is more like play time . My Husband and I have learned to regard bath time for our little guy as more of a parenting ritual than a cleaning regimen, My son really loves his bath time, when heading off to the bath tub he throws his little leg over the side of the tub to get in, the moment he gets in the tub he will splash the water, so much so that it looks like mummy and daddy also had a bath, he loves singing, popping bubbles and giggling.. My husband and I love bath time as we see it as precious bonding moments, He loves to brush his teeth and hair (sometimes both with his toothbrush) Before we know it he’ll be too big for mommy and daddy splash time.

I have a 7 year old boy , and I am 5 months pregnant. My son thinks his body is a submarine and he is under water. He jumps in and splashes in and around. He pretends that the toys and soap are hidden treasures. It’s safe to say we use almost every towel on the floor so that the water doesn’t enter the other rooms. None the less he has fun and gets clean. He is very excited about having a baby sister and especially because bath time he will teach her all his fancy tricks. The Dove collection as a whole already is such a stunning product and I actually can’t wait to use the Baby Dove collection… I’m 29 weeks pregnant and my journey has been challenging so far. My body is prone to infections and that includes down by the lady part. Be the years I’ve learnt to not just jump for the other products but to trust in the dove soap which was obviously recommended by doctors and by poeple. I’ve been so religious to the product. I had to ditch the bubble baths during my pregnancy ,just to prevent any infections. I now believe that this brand will be best for my baby that’s one the way. I cannot wait to start using it, especially during bath timesa and my partner uses dove as well. So it will be our family product and treat..

    Hi Jo Ann,
I must admit that bath time used to feel like a chore and I used to hurry up my girls( aged 6 and 1 years) to get them done and dusted for bed BUT I remembered the times my sister and I used to share a bath, getting our hair wet even when we were told not to, making a bath super tube even though we knew we could get seriously hurt but that never stopped us. The best part of creating that mess was when my mom would jump in and join in on the fun and that is when I realised that my girls need those memories too.

Life gets so crazy at times but bath time is the one time where you can literally “go bos” and relax at the same time. So now the struggle is getting my two out of the bath but I wouldn’t change a thing! I am just too happy to help my girls create lasting memories!!!!!!

This is most favorite time of the day because as working parents we only get those precious two hours before bed time with our boy. Absolutely loving the new dove range as well, it’s so silky and gentle. And who doesn’t love Thandana bags!!!

    Hi Jo
    I have 4 children aged 12 (girl), 11 (boy), 4 (boy) and 1 (girl).
My 1 year old was born @ 32 weeks through an emergency c-section as her heart stopped beating inside me. It was the worst night of my life.
My Gynae told me that we have to wait and see if she will make it through the first few weeks after birth.
Today she is a healthy 1 year old with a BOLD personality. She loves her Bath Time in baby bath or even in the bathtub. It is playtime for her and water all over after she’s done.
I would LOVE to win this Prize as she has a very sensitive skin and we can only use Dove on her skin. At this moment we are using the Dove Sensitive Bar on her skin as it helps keep her skin moisturized and don’t using anything for after bath time because of her skin.
I WOULD LOVE TO WIN THIS PRIZE!!!!

“Bath time is the best time” says my 2 year only Cody! It’s magical to watch his creativity and imagination come ALIVE in the bath. If you just sit next to him on the soaking toilet seat and watch and listen to his stories and singing, you would think he had a playground of kids in the bath with him. It sure is a happy place for him and with his soon to be brother/sister joining him in May next year, WOW it’s going to be a big THEATRICAL event every bath time! As an added bonus, Doves new products can work there magic!

Being a working mom and having to ensure your kids are also tip top, this is the best things ever, coming home from a hard days work, with water restrictions and all, Dove allows my 1 year old and 4 year old to enjoy a bath together, they are both allergic to insect bites and this calm the rashes leaving especially the little one( baby) to enjoy her bath and make it so much fun, when they get out of the bath, they are fresh and just more cuddly than before, It smells divine and I just love my kids to always be fresh as they are out and about at daycare all day and need them to silky clean and soft :)…really the best thing that could have been done as myself and my hubby uses the dove range for us and was questioned by my 5 year old as why she cant use the soap etc…now they have their own range….YIPPPEEEEE thanx DOVE

My husband and I moved into a new house in January, I was 7 months preg at the time….unpacking was not so easy either, Our little joyous bundle came in March, and after 2 days in hospital, we returned home to take on parenthood!!
Only to discover, seeing as we only ever showered and never used the actual bathtub, there was no plug to match.
Bought a plug, but then her babybath was just too big for her little body. I decided to rather bath her in the basin then, which (yay) also had no plug. So a little intervention here and there using things to stop the water going out…..until my hubby could get another plug. Yes, none of the other plugs fit, joys of a new house.
I also ended up using the kitchen sink because it atleast had a plug and was easier to put what I needed nearby.
I know it sounds shameful, but it worked. Happy to report it was only for a week!
The little nunu now enjoys her bathtime in a big ol’ bath with a soft place to sit and kick up the water!

    Hi
We are parents of two beautiful girls and after reading about these products, they would of been much loved in our household if there were around when our little girls were babies. They are now 7 and 10 years old! And still actually use baby products when they bath or these days SHOWER so I will certainly look out for these awesome gentle products. Bath time in our home when our girls was one I will always remember with both our girls. It was definitely a dad and daughter time and my husband used to love bathing our little baby girls each evening starting this routine in our home with warm and cosy memories. It was lovely to see their Dad bonding with them as he bathed them and they used to both lovely every special moment with Dad. When our girls got a little bigger, we all used to jump into the bath together and still do to this day…I am sad at the thought that this may come to an end as they get older but will cherish every moment now!

    Thank you so much.

    Hi Jo
Bath time has always been a special time for me and my little princess, but its become even better now with the new Dove range. I’m Dove lady and now my daughters are too. Both my girls have sensitive skin and I Dove works for them. I really love the products and it has made bath time even more special. I recently had to put my little in the big bath because its a splish splash bath time….and its the enjoyable time for all of us. Its my timeout from a busy day and relaxing time for my kids. Thank you to Dove for making our special time even more special and the bag…..well its stunning to say the least. Certainly hope I’m lucky enough to win one 🙂

We have 2 -3 bathtimes daily
1 is the usual bath everyone has but the others always start with a story

Yesterday while i was washing the dishes my son was playing peacefully with his toys (so i thought) after 10mins i realised things are too quiet and went to check

On our counter we have a water dispenser and mr had a taken his Dove bath soaps and opened the water dispenser and had a lovely over the clothes in the dinning room bath … deff a camera moment but too shocked to take pics i had to quickly run a warm bath and get him in …

The fun didnt stop there when he splashed the entire bathroom full of water

I’m not yet a mommy, so don’t yet have any bath-time stories to share, but in 22 weeks today, God willing, our little boy will bless us with his presence. 🎉 This is my first pregnancy and at 41yrs of age I’ve still got LOTS to learn!! I’ve just switched to using Dove soap as my skin was feeling so dry, and already it’s made SUCH an amazing difference 😍 This really makes me think that I’d love to try your Dove Baby range on our little boy starting in March next year, to give his skin the best nourishment right from the start. 🐣❤

My little one who is almost 2 and thinks he is a big man now loves his bubble baths so every evening mum has to fill up his bath and cover the water in bubbles and then he refuses to come out until the water is cold. The past few morning when having a shower myself he wants to shower with so i have to undress him and let him come shower with me and then i get told he wants soap to wash his body. as he spends alot of time outdoors having dove products will help his skin stay healthy and glowing.

Dove is more than just a soap or lotion or bodywash , With my first born , she had very sensitive skin and we battled going from one GP to another until finally we met an GOd sent peadiatrician that reccomended we use dove soap “the adult version” for bathing time, and after the eczema lotion, because at the time there was no baby version dove yet. Its absolutly amazing how healthy and shiney it made her skin after just 2 weeks , She is now 7 yrs and we still believe in no other product then dove. The fact that there is now a baby version is revolutionary and makes me so excited because im expecting baby n0 2 , and imagine bathing time with dove to be so much more memorable # Dove is definetly made with love

So my son is 2 years old and loves the bath, especially when it’s filled with bubbles. He refuses to get out of the bath no matter how cold the water has gotten or how wrinkly he is. To stay in the bath, he’s got this funny thing that he does…the minute he sees you getting too close, he lays in the bath flat on his tummy and pretends to swim and he refuses to look you in the eye until you leave then he gets up and starts playing again. No matter how sick he feels this is a routine of his for the past 8 months which is why I always try and get my hubby to bath him instead!

I have a 2 year old boy. his skin is very sensitive as he has eczema and I have been trying so many products but none of them seem to do wonders for me.
I must say that bath-time for both of us is not enjoyable but I’m praying and hoping that by using the Dove new baby range will do wonders for both of us.

Good day Everyone. My baby girl who is now 7 months old absolutely loves bath time. She splashes and kicks the water and when we add bubbles to the mix she is so excited and makes sounds the whole time, it really warms my heart to see her so happy, BUT the reason why I am actually writing, I know I am going off the bath time subject but I read there are a lot of new moms to be. When my daughter got a nappy rash the first time (and I only use Huggies Gold and I change her nappy regularly) I literally went into Clicks and bought almost all the nappy creams I saw, none of them really worked, 1 or 2 of them took the rash away lightly but not completely and then I received an email from Clicks about the launch of the new Dove Baby Range in September and I thought I might as well buy their nappy cream, it is not expensive and I have tried all the other known names. The first time I put it on was that night after bath time, the next morning when I changed her nappy (my daughter sleeps through the night, but with us on the bed in the middle) the rash was almost completely gone, the redness was away. I have not seen such fast results in any of the other creams. Throughout the day I continued to use the cream and that night at bath time her rash was completely gone. I could not believe it. I truly believe in the dove product. I use it and now it is all I use for my daughter. For all the first time moms out there, make sure to have the Dove Nappy Cream in your bag and good luck. Just be patient and do not worry what others say, you know what is right for your child.

Hi Jo, as I am reading this my eyelids feel like they want to close as last night was one of those sleep less evenings with an 18 month old toddler- so hopefully tonight will go better. I see bath-time as the final 50m of a 400m race around the track as in our house it means we have already eaten, and now it spiraling nearer to sleep time…but first bath time:-) Having a tired toddler after supper, bathing is the only thing that makes her and us forget about the long busy day and then the fun starts. Bath mat in (I used to join in), but am now 6 months pregnant with her soon to be brother and sister…so showering is much easier now with twins in my tummy. Next step is bubbles and toys…although the empty shampoo bottles are the favorites to play with now:-) After her daddy helps with the bathing I join in on the fun with being part of the dressing and soon it’s off to bed. Nothing like a bath time in our house to lift the moods and to settle in nicely into bed:-)

    Hi Jo

I am 21 weeks this week but I have a pretty interesting bathtime story anyways. So my bathtime story is a rather traumatic one at that. One evening I thought I would treat my friend with some time off by volunteering to bath her little girl while she took some much needed time out. My friend helped me get her little girl into the bath and then left us to bond while she started on dinner. It was all going so well and I was enjoying the experience until I noticed that the little rascal had decided to take a poop in the bath! So I was slightly panicked, not emotionally prepared as yet to deal with these situations, I called out to my friend to come assist me. I thought perhaps in the meantime I could quickly find a paper towel to scoop up the floater. I turned my back for less than 5 seconds, when I turned back to the bath, she had taken the floating poop and squashed it in her hand and was proceeding to smear it on her body. luckily at this point, my friend appeared, so together we faced this crisis, one holding the baby while the other trying desperately to get everything off of her. needless to say we eventually got her clean and I must admit that the experience was probably a good learning experience for me when I finally get to meet my own little girl. We laugh about it still, here’s hoping that I won’t have to do that one again!

Hi all Mommies… I have an inspirational bath time story…
My little girl, Lily, was born as a micro-prem 8 July 2015, at 25 weeks and weighing only 540g. It was a rough start and I had moments where I didnt know if she was going to make it through the night. But with many prayers and lots of love, Lily made it throug the first month in NICU. Then came her first bath – what a joy. She was so tiny and her skin was still translucent and fragile, but oh my, did she enjoy it. As soon as her little body touched the water she became quiet and content. And then I relaxed as well. Her second and third bath was the same – also in the NICU – as she slowly started gaining weight it seemed that she enjoyed bathtime more and more.
And even today, as a 2year old toddler, she still loves bathtime. She will spend hours playing in water. Bathtime is our-time, “me-and-mommy” time and it is the most special time of the day.
I’ll always look back at her first bath with amazement and love and I cant wait for all the rest of them to come.

Fortunately I am a first time mommy. Baby due in April 2018. I don’t have a bathtime story with babies but when I was a young girl about 5, my older sister and i were taking a bath and like always making one hell of a mess in the bath using as much shampoo as possible, floor wet because we knew spinning like a washing machine makes more bubbles. When all of a sudden my parents came into the bathroom following…. a sheep. Bathtime just became more exciting a tame sheep walking around the bathroom while my sister and i almost leap out of the tub just to pet it making the bathroom more of a wet mess. Dirty sheep hooves making marks on the floor two little girls laughing their heads off.

Still is one of my favourite bathtime memories. We have the pictures to prove how much fun we had.

Bath time is the best time of the day – time to unwind, to relax, to bond and to splash 🙂
And then the best part of it all – being clean and smelling like soap afterwards!!

Dove is one of my all time favourite products for myself as I have sensitive skin and can’t wait to try the baby range when my baby is born in February 2018! *

Hi there. Thanks for the informative post about Dove products. Will definitely give it a try.
I am a mother to a 9 month old baby girl.

Initially bath time was the MOST dreadful thing for me as she hated it. The moment she touched the water she would scream and cry and that for me was very stressful. Not to mention changing time afterwards. As time passed, she has gotten comfortable and now loves to bath. She kicks her legs and splashes the water EVERYWHERE! Anything she sees, from the top-to-toe body wash to the sponge and even the bath prop! Grabs it and if it fits in her mouth then oh well. She’s very feisty and doesn’t let go of anything easily so I find myself trying to distract her by singing to her in funny voices while making funny faces and I also try to teach her the names of the different body parts (in a song) as we go along!

Bath time is definitely a time to bond with our little ones and learning about new products to introduce into their bath time routine is definitely useful.

8 years ago, being a first time mom I got really worried when my son’s skin began to look patchy.
We took him to a dermatologist and being new parents on a tight budget this visit cos us a lot. Expecting to be given a script for meds and fancy ointments we were shocked when doctor advised us to bath baby with regular dove soap!
He claimed its gentle and free from chemicals which most baby products unfortunately have!
Reluctant but curious we gave it a try and WOW all was well again..4 years later next baby on we realised we not taking chances and so we stuck to good old dove soap again!
Now another 4 years on expecting again imagine my excitement to discover not only dove baby soap but an entire baby range just for baby!
I know exactly what I will be needing this time for sensitive baby skin & no I’m taking no chances! DOVE BABY RANGE IT IS!!!

    Hi Jo.
Im a first time mum to my baby girl who is 6 months old. I did alot of reading during my pregnancy about baby care and many books and even the maternity class i attended said that you shouldn’t use soap on babies when you bath them and to just use water but i really didn’t like this idea.
Bath time started by using a baby bath and just rinsing my baby with water. It wasn’t much fun. But now bath times are one of our favourite times of the day. I go in the bath with my baby every evening and she plays with her bath toys whilst i wash her with the Dove body wash. So far it has worked very well for her, she has never had a rash or skin problem. And i love the smell of the wash. She loves bath time and gets really excited when we get in the bath.

I have so many friends who can only dream about it AND that 2 minutes usually happens during my baby girl”s bathtime. I just sit back and thank God for the amazing gift and believe by giving her the best i can give, i show my appreciation to Him. Therefor there is no limit. I end every bathtime with a mesage and a small prayer to her. I absorb every moment of her life as much as possible and would love to only give her my ultimate best. And if it means that i should switch over to the Dove product range, ill love to do it 🙂 Holding thumbs for this one! SURE every mommy would absolutely love to have there own Thandana bag 🙂

I recently purchased my first Baby Dove head to toe wash. I was excited about the new baby range as I myself only use Dove soap. I love the dispenser that squirts out the right amount of soap as so meany other bottles ended up being messed out in the bath by my toddler. Now the two brands our love are joining in for this fab competition. I would LOVE to win a thandana nappy bag (in my dream colour). We are trying for number two so hopefully there will be lots and lots of bathtime stories. Right now im mopping up after every bath, my child loves water and never wants to get out lol. Now with me bathing him in Dove I dnt have to worry about his skin getting exposed to harsh soaps for long periods of time. Thanks for making bathtime funtime for longtime hehe

Hi Modern Mommy.. my baby boy is due in Feb, Im definitely going to try the Dove Range because honestly, I have only ever used Dove myself since it came out. My whole family did growing up and now my new little family does and will too. I even use the 1/4 moisteriser on my face (dont tell anyone, Im too lazy too use my facewash because I cant tell the difference anyway hehe) My bath story is of myself, I grew up an only child to a single mom. So I knew how to entertain myself and be independant from young. My mom would run me a bubble bath and I call..”Mooooommmmmmm, please get me cups and teaspoons”. My mom would get me the cups and proper teaspoons straight from the kitchen (I didnt have lots of toys like todays kids, or maybe we couldnt afford, I never knew because as a child material things didnt matter-not to me anyway). I remember being SO happy playing this game of making EVERYONE (which was actually no one) tea. Tea with Foam and Sugar. My mom got a cup or 2 when she would check up on me, otherwise myself and my “customers” spent hours in my “Tea Kitchen” aka Bath Time in the 90’s 🙂 I hope my baby boy can be as care free and happy as I was in my own little world, and sometimes still am. Xxx
